Here’s the first independent video of the 2012 Camaro ZL1 running on a quarter mile track. The folks from Motoramic try their (novice) hand a quarter mile run in the 2012 ZL1. They were only able to achieve 13 seconds in the quarter mile with launch control, but admitted to their complete lack of experience on the track.

The official quoted number from GM is that the ZL1 does the 1/4 mile in 12 seconds flat. Click on through for some cool ZL1 dragging footage.

The UAE Camaro club is perhaps the most prolific and active international Camaro club for the current generation Camaro. They held their last meet of 2011 back in December and as always, there was a great turnout and as well as a great set of photos documenting their day. Check it out inside.

SMS Supercars, Steve Saleen’s company, officially unveiled the SMS620 Camaro at the Barrett-Jackson auction this week, where the first production unit was auctioned off. This particular model was a special Bondurant Edition, in honor of Steve Saleen’s former racing partner, Bob Bondurant. The $100,000 auction proceeds from the auction were donated to Cox Charities and the Make A Wish Foundation of Arizona.

The 620 Camaro features a full aero kit (front spoiler lip, sideskirts, rear diffuser, butterfly hood) and 20 inch wheels. The interior features custom leather work. As for power? The 6.2L V8 factory motor was supercharged to 620 horsepower and 570 pound-feet torque.

“Chevy Happy Grad,” an ad submitted by 26-year old Long Island resident Zach Borst, will be aired during the telecast of Super Bowl XLVI, beating out submissions by independent filmmakers from around the world as part of Chevrolet’s Route 66 Super Bowl ad contest.

The ads had more than 32 million total online views between December 22 and January 14. More details and ad video inside.

ECC (Emerald Coast Camaros) just had its largest meet & greet yet, this past Saturday [Event Photos]. 36 Fifth Gen Camaros, 2 Mustangs and 1 Motorcycle enjoyed the mild January weather and started the gathering by converging on Crestview, FL from all over the Panhandle of Florida (and even as far as Thomasville and Albany, GA). They then cruised from Crestview, FL to Florala, AL, where they invaded a local restaurant, did a little shopping, and shot a little bull! The group had a great time seeing each other and kicking off the new year!
