As we previously reported, Conrad Grunewald was one of 8 winners selected by GM to build a GM sanctioned Camaro for the SEMA show, with a stock Camaro provided by GM. Grunewald went the route of building a drift Camaro racecar. Most recently Grunewald has been piloting a supercharged C5 Corvette in the Formula Drift race series, but it looks like this Camaro drift car will join the C5 in its drifting duties.
The Grunewald Camaro drift car features an LS-A crate motor from GMPP controlled by the AEM Universal EMS. The car also features Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires on custom Forgeline aluminum 3-piece wheels, Eibach’s Multi-Pro-R2 two-way adjustable dampers and coilovers, seibon carbon fiber body panels.

Tribone: Last one!! I promise!!
Hey guys. This will be my last picture thread for SEMA ‘09. We actually got to hang out with John Hennessey himself and talked Camaros for a good 45 minutes. We also met up with Scott and Dan from Unrestricted Motorsports and Robin from Pfadt Race Engineering. Thanks John, Scott, Dan, and Robin for your great hospitality and for letting us take an in-depth look at the process that you guys go through to produce your Camaros!!
Rick (2010SSRSM6) and I also had an opportunity to talk Camaros with Cheryl Pilcher and John Fitzgerald. Thanks you guys for talking to us and taking the time to sign my car and take pictures with me.
As with yesterday, the pictures will be of a few Camaros that I have missed as well as angles of pictures that were requested via PM. Thanks you everyone for your compliments! Hopefully we now have a better idea of what’s available out there for us.
-Guillermo

05 Nov 09 — PRESS RELEASE: While most cars at SEMA are mostly show and shine beauty queens, a few are actual street machines with performance and power to back up their looks and are brave enough to test their limits on the track to prove it. For the second year in a row Optima Batteries and Hot Rod Magazine has collected some of these SEMA vehicles to fight out for the Ultimate Street Car Challenge title. While most of the field had been selected, Optima and Hot Rod reserve a few spots for vehicles they hand pick out from the SEMA floor. This year only 6 spots where available and Unrestricted Motorsports newly debuted 2010 Camaro received one of these coveted wildcard entries.
On Saturday November 7th Unrestricted Motorsports will take their Camaro directly from the SEMA floor to Spring Mountain Raceway for a series of performance competitions including road course time attack, autocross, 0-60-0mph along with judging for design and styling. Unrestricted?s SEMA Camaro will feature Pfadt Race Engineering drop springs and sway bars, Volant cold air intake, Hawk performance brake pads, Hurst short throw shifter, Forgeline wheels, Diablosport tuning and a complete Unrestricted Motorsports body package.

Here’s the scoop on the silver Camaro from the SEMA showfloor as seen HERE and which everyone speculated as the Camaro Z28 due to its bumper’s similarity to the look of only model mockup PHOTO we have seen of the Z28.
This car is a V6 twin turbo Camaro built by GM (hence its location in GM’s Camaro display at SEMA). The turbos used on the V6 motor are turbonetics turbos.
GM design worked with Jay Leno on the design of this car, and the car is labeled "inspired by Jay Leno."
We will bring you more details tomorrow so stay tuned!

The internet is abuzz with speculation that the special looking silver Camaro on the floor of the SEMA show (seen HERE), is actually the look of the upcoming Camaro Z28. That would make sense as this Camaro is in GM’s exhibit and its front bumper greatly resembles the bumblebee Camaro, which has been confirmed to be similar to the Camaro Z28’s bumper. No official word out of the show yet on what this special Camaro is, but we’ll know by tomorrow!
Sorry to disappoint, but to make up for it, here’s a HUGE SET of photos of various Camaros from SEMA. And look HERE for the speculation talk and analysis regarding the Z28 looking Camaro.

Here is a preview of the VR Chevrolet Camaro for the United Kingdom market (in which the Camaro is not available for purchase). The VR Camaro was designed by Danish design house Hermann and Brandt and features reworked front bumper, sideskirts and rear bumper/diffuser, each constructed from carbon fiber.
The massive front bumper air inlets takes its design from the Lamborghini Reventon and the rear deck spoiler is inspired by early the 70’s Trans-Am. This special Camaro rolls on one piece 22" wheels that weigh just half of the factory wheels. Stopping power is achieved by HUGE 12-pot front calipers and 8-pot rear calipers. This limited edition VR Camaro will only be available in black or white, each with copper highlights.
No power figures have yet been released, but compressor style supercharger is expected to raise the overall power to over 600bhp. The VR Camaro is expected to be available beginning January 2010.

The 2009 SEMA show is set to be underway in just about 2 days time and the showspace setup is already underway. The 2010 Camaro will be one of the most represented cars there as it has become one of the darlings of the aftermarket tuning and customizing world in its first year of release. GMtunersource is already at the event and brings us these pre-show photos.

Good news, yet another forced induction option will soon be on the market for the 2010 Camaro — a supercharger kit by Whipple.
Here’s a short video clip of the 2.9L prototype being tested on an SS out at Whipple’s facility in Fresno, CA. This is a prototype kit where the system is a few percent less efficient than production systems because its a rear entry with a restricted inlet, so the production front entry design may result in higher numbers.
The car made 519rwhp, 91 octane, 8.25psi, stock exhaust, stock filter box, stock everything but the 2.9L Supercharger. 500lbs of torque. Af ratio was 11.9:1.

New Jersey area Camaro5 owners managed to take a break from handing out candy on Halloween, a drizzly but unusually warm October day, for some Camaro fun. 23 Camaros made it out for the event. Batman and batgirl seem to have ditched the batmobile for a 2010 Camaro and in a strange blend of the sci-fi realm, Halo’s Master Chief is now driving a Bumblebee Camaro! We can’t tell if the onlookers are staring at the cars or at their superhero looking owners
