2010 Camaro SS video review by FlatoutProject

Posted by: admin In: Main ()

Here’s a great video from our friends at FlatoutProject, self described gearheads from Germany with a hobby of shooting car films, of their trip through the western parts of the U.S. Check out the footage from their roadtrip review of the 2010 Camaro SS and their impression of the SS. For a follow-up feature, they plan to release their review of the Camaro against the C6 Corvette. Check out the video inside.

From fbodfather:

Good evening, Camaro Comrades!

I just received the following from a very dear Friend (and Camaro Comrade ) Charlene Kyreages Henderson —

…it’s a wonderful way to say ‘Thank You’ and “Merry Christmas” to one of our men or women serving in our Armed Services.

Please — I beg you — take the time to go to the site below — and send a message — we owe so much to our Men and Women in uniform — and it’s FREE!

Thank you — sincerely - and the best of the Holiday Season to you and yours…………
Please share this with your Clubs, Websites, Familly, and Friends………..

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you’s.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

Motorweek has conducted its testing of a SLP ZL575 Camaro, SLP’s TVS 2300 supercharged LS3 2010 Camaro, good for 575 horsepowers. Besides the extra power, the SL575 features a functional heat extractor hood with an aggressive look.

See the video inside for Motorweek’s reaction and the performance #’s they were able to achieve with the SLP ZL575.

Lutz says “perhaps” to twin-turbo Camaro

Posted by: admin In: Main ()

Perhaps” is the word Bob Lutz used to answer the question of whether there will be a twin-turbo Camaro. Although not an emphatic yes, this provides some hope to Camaro enthusiasts who have been hoping for a factory forced induction Camaro. At the very least, this shows that GM has/is at least contemplating the idea.

Lutz also confirmed that the Camaro Synergy concept will be made into a production version, as well as an all-black special edition model.

World’s first matte (flat) Black 2010 Camaro

Posted by: admin In: Main ()

Matte look paint/wrap seems to be all the rage these days in the automotive world, with many manufacturers now even offering it as a special edition option on their cars.

A german friend of ours achieved the matte black look on his 2010 Camaro with the use of a vinyl wrap, a popular option (vs. painting) because of its cost effectiveness and reversability.

As we previously reported, Conrad Grunewald was one of 8 winners selected by GM to build a GM sanctioned Camaro for the SEMA show, with a stock Camaro provided by GM. Grunewald went the route of building a drift Camaro racecar. Most recently Grunewald has been piloting a supercharged C5 Corvette in the Formula Drift race series, but it looks like this Camaro drift car will join the C5 in its drifting duties.

The Grunewald Camaro drift car features an LS-A crate motor from GMPP controlled by the AEM Universal EMS. The car also features Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires on custom Forgeline aluminum 3-piece wheels, Eibach’s Multi-Pro-R2 two-way adjustable dampers and coilovers, seibon carbon fiber body panels.

Tribone: Last one!! I promise!!

Hey guys. This will be my last picture thread for SEMA ‘09. We actually got to hang out with John Hennessey himself and talked Camaros for a good 45 minutes. We also met up with Scott and Dan from Unrestricted Motorsports and Robin from Pfadt Race Engineering. Thanks John, Scott, Dan, and Robin for your great hospitality and for letting us take an in-depth look at the process that you guys go through to produce your Camaros!!

Rick (2010SSRSM6) and I also had an opportunity to talk Camaros with Cheryl Pilcher and John Fitzgerald. Thanks you guys for talking to us and taking the time to sign my car and take pictures with me.

As with yesterday, the pictures will be of a few Camaros that I have missed as well as angles of pictures that were requested via PM. Thanks you everyone for your compliments! Hopefully we now have a better idea of what’s available out there for us.

-Guillermo
