Admittedly, the Camaro in stock form, may not be the most agile beast around the track. But with some suspension tweaks, the Camaro has proven to be able to handle with best handling cars in its class. That’s why companies such as Pfadt and Pedders have experienced such commercial success with the 5th gen Camaro.
Here is a great video featuring the Carriage House Customs Camaro, on a full complement of Pfadt suspension parts. This Camaro recently won all three races it entered in the American Iron Series in NASA, and set a track record at the Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota.
Check out the nicely produced video of this Camaro carving the track during races.

Ok, so we wouldn’t exactly call this one a fair race based on factory specs, but nevertheless it’s a fun look (and great read) at how these two hot American muscle cars perform with their speed limiters removed and unleashed on the Bonneville Salt Flats for some top speed runs! Popular Mechanics recently undertook this unique challenge.
So how did the Camaro SS fare? Read their results INSIDE.

Here is an interesting video review by TheSmokingTire of the Firebreather Camaro against the 2011 Shelby GT500 Mustang. This is the first performance review of the Firebreather Camaro that we have seen. The Firebreather Camaro is a supercharged 600hp hero car for the upcoming movie Jinn [photos and details HERE]. A limited run of 50 Firebreather Camaro will be made for sale by the movie company itself (for $60,000). These unique Camaros will feature:
- Eaton Blower (running 12 pounds boost)
- Eibach suspension
- Hurst short shifter
- Firebreather bodywork (just as you see in the photos and video)
This is not a true professional technical review, but it’s a fun comparison and the video provides some great eye candy of the Firebreather Camaro.

We bring you the very first photos [FULL SET HERE] of the 2011 Camaro SS Convertible in final preproduction form testing with its top down, and not only does she look virtually finished, but she’s gorgeous! A couple of apparent design differences to the Camaro SS coupe is the trunk spoiler shape and the presence of the sharkfin antenna on the trunk.
This inferno orange metallic Camaro SS Convertible was spotted running the back roads with a 2010 Mustang GT Convertible, for comparison. The drivers were seen actively comparing the two cars and providing direct feedback in comparing the two car.

Transformers 3 is currently shooting in downtown Chicago and that means lots of potential to spot the third iteration of the Bumblebee Camaro. Here are the best photos yet of the latest Bumblebee Camaro on set.
The slickest Bumblebee Camaro yet features a refreshed front fascia design with front splitter, revised hood cowl, broad stripes which extend from the hood all the way back to the trunk, sleek blacked out mirrors, rear quarter fender with single open inlet, high rear wing spoiler, revised rear bumper with quad exhaust tips sitting flush to rear lower bumper.
Pay close attention to these design elements as it’s been hinted that some of the elements give a good idea as to the fifth generation Camaro Z28 [just spotted HERE].

NO MORE DOUBTING THE CAMARO Z28!!!
2012 Camaro Z28 with 6.2L supercharged V8 (6AT in this model). No confirmation yet on whether this is the LS9 or LSA motor.
FULL SET OF PHOTOS HERE
This Camaro Z28 was captured out testing with several other Camaros, as well as a Mustang GT500 (for comparison of course).
Seen prominently, even with the front covering is a much lower front fascia with large intakes. You can make out the shape despite the covering and it resembles the latest Transformers 3 Bumblebee Camaro front fascia. The hood cowl also looks to be more prominent than on standard Camaro.
The wheels are 20″ SP550 anodized black - 20×10 front and 20×11 rears. Wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The brake calipers very much resemble those from the CTS-V.
Quad exhaust (dual pipes per side) are at the rear, and the photographer described the sound from this car as “nothing short of unholy!”
Best part is, GM was courteous enough to tape the engine specs on the dash: 6.2L supercharged V8, with Auto Transmission.

Fifth Gear, the second most popular automotive show out of England, has now gotten its hands on the Camaro SS for their own review. A rally yellow Camaro SS is flogged by co-host Jason Plato (himself an accomplished racing driver). The episode just aired within the last couple of hours, but we now bring you the REVIEW VIDEO HERE.
So how does he like the Camaro SS? We won’t ruin it for you, but can say that there’s plenty of smiles and giggles from Jason. And although it’s not all praise for the Camaro, he does end the segment by saying that the “SS does a better job than any muscle car before and is guaranteed to make you giggle!”
Fifth Gear previously reviewed the V6 Camaro in this special web episode.
