May, June, and July saw higher Mustang sales numbers and Camaros, owing in part to the heavy discounts/incentives on the 2010 Mustangs being cleared off dealer lots for the 2011 model years. The group’s numbers have been growing and their latest event, the SEPA Cars and Coffee 3 event, held this past weekend, saw 21 5th gen Camaros in attendance. Every single Camaro color was in attendance and their lineup photos was a stunning Camaro rainbow.
Check out their event and cruise photos/video HERE.
The group will be planning the SEPA Cars and Coffee 4 event soon, so make sure to check in on their updates in our NY/NJ/CT/PA regional forums.

The factory installed Hurst short shifter had been on constraint (unavailable) for so long that we thought it’d never come. But alas, it’s finally here and actually showing up in 2011 Camaros.
HERE are the first photos of the factory Hurst short shifter that we have seen. It retains a factory/OEM look (with a tasteful Hurst badge) as opposed to the shifters directly from Hurst which comes with a cue ball knob.

This 60 million dollar NFL player can have his choice of any car, but he chose a Chevrolet Camaro because as he puts it, he’s a Chevy guy. What Eric Berry chose was a National Speed NZ1200 Camaro. What is the philosophy and concept of a NZ1200 car? [Full Buildup Photos and Info]
The NZ1200 build concept is based on a 427ci (7.0 liter) engine, twin-turbocharged, 1200hp on pump gas, bullet proof drivetrain, world-class handling suspension (capable of 1.3gs on the skidpad), full braking upgrades, etc. The theory is to upgrade all performance aspects proportionally, and over engineer everything. This vehicle would be capable of sustaining 2,000hp+ without issue, that’s how over engineered this vehicle is. The result is a bullet proof performance package that is OEM-like reliable and drivable at this level.
The epic buildup of this monster Camaro can be followed HERE.

The Nationwide Papa John’s Meet and Greet, arranged and coordinated right here on Camaro5, took place last night throughout the country (event photos here). Based on the free pizza giveaway coordinated by the Papa John’s franchise last August 26th, Camaro owners throughout the country decided to take up the tradition and continue meeting on August 26th at their local Papa John’s (despite no free pizza ).
Some locations saw a great turnout. And next year’s should see even better turnouts. See the various event photos from across the country HERE.

This transport truck full of Camaro convertibles was recently spotted and photographed [PHOTOS]. By now we’ve seen plenty of photos of the convertible test cars [latest HERE], but never this many color configurations in one place. There are black, yellow, silver, and white Camaro convertibles, some with black tops and others with tan tops.
These should be test fleet vehicles as the convertibles are not set to begin production until the first quarter of 2011.
See the 2011 Camaro convertible order/production schedule HERE.

The 2010 SEMA Show is just a bit over 2 months away and despite last year’s large Camaro representation, we’re expecting an even bigger showing for the Camaro at this Last Vegas based specialty products trade event.
Despite the show not being open to the general public, many of Camaro5’s sponsor vendors and members will be attending, either simply to browse, or in many cases to display their Camaros.
Those of you planning to attend should sign up in THIS LIST to facilitate meeting with other members and sponsors and also for the Camaro5 Dinner planned for Thursday, November 4th.
