[COTW 9/13/10]: Speedster’s SST Camaro

This week’s Camaro-of-the-Week is Speedster’s mega modified Camaro [Build Journal HERE]. Nearly every major component in this car has been replaced, modified, or upgraded. Here’s the impressive list:
Engine – Nelson Racing Engines Pro Mod LSX, NASCAR Valvetrain, Inconel Valves
Forced Induction – Air To Water Intercooled Twin Turbo, supports 38+/- psi boost
Trans – Bowler 4L85E race built for Extreme HP
Diff – Ford 9″ 3.25 ratio, 35 spline Outlaw Axles
Suspension – All solid mounts, 1.5″ drop coilovers; Pfadt, Pedders, Spohn, Xtreme Innovations
Frame/Tubs – Sectioned, Narrowed, Tubbed
Wheels/Tires – Forgeline 18×9 – 275, 18×12.5 – 345 MT DRs
Cooling-Custom Radiator, Tranny Cooling, Intercooler Water Reservoir integrated into front bumper
Fuel – Dual Fuel Cells/Pumps/Quad Filters, Octane On Demand, 16 injectors, Dual fuel filler nozzles
Electric-Aircraft Quality Connectors and Wiring, 4 Computer systems all talking together, TapShift buttons converted to LineLoc and TransBrake controls
Interior – Custom, heavily modified, but looks stock
Cage – 8.50 Cert Rollcage, Adaptable to 7.50 Cert
Parachute – removable for street use (needed for 1/4 mile above 150 mph, standing mile above 180 mph)
Full SFI safety equipment – Remote Battery cutoffs, FE36 Fire Suppression System.
* Goals: A true street car that can be driven to the 1/4 mile track, staged and run well into the single digits; 200+ mph in standing miles and open road events. Drive home. Attempt to maintain 20+ mpg cruise mileage, air conditioning on, no overheating.
