If you look at the thread for the DIY install, I didn't bring the ends on the door panels together. I stopped just short of where the door ends at the hinge, folded the fabric over for a clean end and carefully hot glued the piping down to sit flush. That last area was pretty much impossible for me to "tuck" into the crease of the door and the panel. The onlyway I can think of to being the piping completely around is to carefully cut off the excess fabric around the cording, place just the smallest line of hot glue into the crease and carefully glue it snuggly into that crease.
