Yea. Don't cut through the wire. Just shave the outside rubber a little bit so that the metal in the ttap can connect to wire.

Hey I love that you are the only one who has a DIY for the installation of your subs I have my ******** kit and my subs and all the pieces I need to install Im going to do the same thing that you did but I do need a little clarification. Im and electronic dummy when you disconnected the harness from the 6x9 speakers and you say trim the wire does that mean just trim it so you can see the metal wire then place the t tap connectors on it?
