well, I don't know much about the vararam.. I bought the new era because a: it was used and in great condition at a great price and b: because I liked the look and liked the reviews. after buying it, I still like it but my car needs a tune. I think it added some HP but with a tune I will really feel it. you will need a tune if you go that route.. I have some bank sensors that are popping up on my check engine light but with a tune, they will be gone.
