I would imagine you have had some time to put her through the paces by now. Sweet isn't it. Just turned 1000 miles tody as we have been taking some weekend cruises throughout the state before winter sets in. Plan on storing her for the winter...sucks but thats life in the north woods.

I am still gonna vary speed as much as I can and do some moderate rolling accelerations up to 4500 - 5000 rpm to help seat rings if they aren't already. There was a guy in the 8/17 tpw forum that had his car for 5 minutes and got a ticket for 100mph in a 60 zone...it is truly hard to stay off the gas on these things and 100mph comes pretty quick...even in the v6. I can imagine the v8 will be much worse to stay off the pedal. You are gonna love your ride when it comes!!!!

For the heck of it I found your car arriving in what sounded like wahashee, TN at 11:00 AM Sept. 10...getting closer. Thanks for the tip on oil changes ...she is going in tomorrow for oil change at 350 miles with conventional oil. Will go to 1500 and change again. I was going to dump synthetic in at about 1500 but will wait 2 more changes and go at 4500. Can't believe some guys are going to wait till computer on car tells them to change oil. I never go over 3000 miles on any of my vehicles w/o oil change. Been trying to keep her under 4500 RPM...slipped and had it at 5000 for a couple of seconds but quickly backed off. The car is just amazing....it is well worth the wait.

Hey man, this is my vin # 2G1FT1EWXA9141906 I have been doing the automated railcar tracking on the phone. The last status was that it had arrived in Luisvile Ky. on yesterday, the 8th.That's all I know.Could it have left, and they don't tell you?Is there another, or more tracking options? If there are, could you please let me know?Being iN Florida, she couln't have had further to go.ARGHHH!.So ya gettin' her broken in nice & easy?I've been a somewhat successful mechanic for over 20 years now, and i can't stress enough, the importance of early, and frequent break in oil changes.100 miles 1st,then @ 500,and then,2 or 3 @ every 1500 miles with good old motor oil....NOT synthetic, until about 4 or 5K miles. Not trying to be a "know it all" jerk, just trying to let you in on a little trade secret.......So your havin' a good time, huh?CAN'T WAIT!
