We should probably start a discussion on getting a club logo put together to use for banners, shirts, etc..

I'll be the first to tell you I possess absolutely no artistic skill, but I do have an idea, and we do possibly have a lead on a graphic artist.

I was thinking a stylized Camaro between the twin spires of Churchill Downs with Derby City Camaro Club either above or below.

Let's hear your ideas/thought!

If someone can get some good pictures of what they want and tell me exactly what to do I can try to make it happen. I can do a little in photoshop, but I am not creative is the hard part. So if you give me what needs to be done I can find some way to make it work. Just let me know.

I was thinking of asking this guy http://502streetscene.net/forum/showthread.php?t=203738 if he could come up with something, or we Apex Chase suggested contacting Austin James from the forum (He does there images). There's also the person that did Music City's logo.

My vision would be to incorporate the Twin spires from Churchill downs somehow, they have a sorta modern looking one, I have seen it on Posters over the last couple of years, it looks like a double backwards slash kind of, but reflects the idea of the spires, I will try to find it on the web somewhere and share!

Just keep in mind, we have no Budget at this point!

The one local guy does them for free, but I wouldn't mind floating him a few bucks for rights to a quality logo. I'll shoot him a message and see if he'd be interested in getting a sketch together first.

I hope to have Bachman up some financial support for this kind of stuff, have a message into them again this morning! Got to get some commitment, or we are moving the club!

Go get 'em Jim! That would be nice if they'd provide some funding for promotional stuff. We would have their name on the banner somewhere I'm sure. Advertisement for them at a hell of a discount as I'm sure they spend tons on advertisements elsewhere.

my ideas: A slanted line of the outline of each of the 5 gens together inbetween your spire thingys. or maybe the outline of the front end of the camaro but it starts off on the left hand side as part of a 1st gen front end and morphs from gen to gen until it ends with the right hand side being a 5th gen front end piece. Dunno if that is explained well or not but thats all I got sry lol.
