Saw the question you posted for Scott regarding the rear "gills." I know I'm not Scott, hehe, but wanted to help him by answering that they are open on the concept. However, the gills are closed on the production model and are shown as indentations. If GM cut out the "gills," all the plumbing would HAVE to be made functional to cool the rear brakes. If not, the gills would open directly to the inside of the sheet metal and car...causing numerous problems down the road. GM won't make the rear gills functional because of 1. the rear brakes never get hot enough to require cooling and 2. cost.
