Hey codeman71 funny you should ask. I've been leaving it it but it still wants to index. Sometimes quickly other times slowly. I just go to xm for a bit and come back and everything is cool. I don't think I've ever turned the car on have it not index. I'll try to pay more attention though thanks for the feedback. So, once it indexes a drive it should remember that until I change it? There is like literally 8 gig of music on it (+ or - maybe a gig) could it that be too much?

Hey Isshinryu, good to hear from you! I'm almost certain that there will be firmware updates to the PDIM as we move along. We haven't figured out just yet how we will go about releasing the updates, if they will just be out to dealers to update or if users will be able to update themselves. That'll be up to the program team on how they want to handle this.

For the indexing, do you ever remove the drive and plug it back in, or do you always leave it in the car? Whenever any file is changed on the drive, the PDIM has to index the entire drive, so that will take a little bit of time. If it looks like nothing has changed since it last saw it, it won't have to index.

The USB playback is one area where we are working to improve the software. Hopefully you don't see too many more issues with that playback.
