The test should be done at 5000 rpms and not 6000 rpms. The internal resource agrees that if there is no issue at 5000 rpms, but there is an issue at 6000 rpms, then the vehicle is driven aggressively. This is a normal characteristic of high torque being applied to the drive line at 6000 rpms. When the clutch is applied, it releases all of the torque on the drive line, and there is a clunk. This is a normal characteristic of the vehicle.

I saw your post on the forum and have reviewed your case. I contacted our internal resources to verify that the resolution was correct. Here is the following information I have for you:

For Camaro, CTS-V and all Corvette models, with the vehicle at operating temperature, ensure that the transmission can still be put into all gears with no clash. Operate the vehicle around 5000 rpm ensure the clutch pedal is fully depressed and that the shifter can be moved into the next gear both at a moderate and aggressive pace. Shift lever should go into the next gear without clashing or grinding. Operation should be performed 5-10 times and should not exhibit gear clash. Obey all local laws and operate the vehicle in an area where testing can be performed safely...
