I got the "on hold" status on this morning's update on camarotracking.com.

I will do my best to find out.

Ok, so I just saw on today's update that it is now listed as "on hold". Any way to find out what that is all about?

So I expect the answer to be no, but is there any way to find out WHY it is still at the stripe facility? Even if they had to redo the stripes for some reason, I don't understand how it can be taking this long. At the very least, is it possible to get some kind of estimate as to how much longer it will be there? I'm really not upset at you, I know that you have no control over what happens at the plant, and that you can only pass on the information that you are being given. I just seems ridiculous to me that stripes should hold it up like this. If there were some mechanical problem with the car, fine, but stripes?

Well I regret to inform you of something you already know, but your Camaro is still at the facility that is installing the stripes. I will never tell you something that isn't true to the best of my knowledge, however I got bad information from my dealer business center representative on Friday and I am sorry that I passed it on to you. After talking to a different rep today she made a call to find out where the car was and she told me that it is still at the stripe facility. I then informed her of the talk I had with the rep on Friday and explained how this will not help the situation, if the car isn't ready to be shipped please tell me so in the future so I don't make a fool of myself and give false hope. She said she had notes of the conversation and apologized for the misunderstanding.

I checked again this morning and no movement in the event history but I will keep checking today and I will give DBC another call this afternoon to double check. Don't worry about bugging me i'm glad to help.

Thanks for getting that for me. I didn't realize that the event history could take a while to update like that. Anyway, I appreciate all your help, and I'll stop bugging you now!

I did look at the event history every day this week but the 4200 code ships for final destination to the stripe facility and back to the where it is shipped from. I'll copy and paste an event history tomorrow. All that I can say for sure is that as of today it looked as if the event history hasn't changed for quite some time. When my camaro was built and shipped the event history didn't show that it was on a rail car until two days after it was on it. But no problem again I will get a copy of this for you on Saturday morning.

Ok, so I've gotten some conflicting information. Since I've been posting on the tracking thread quite a bit, when there was still no update today they did a special request for information on my car. According to them, as of yesterday it was still at the stripe facility. I'm hoping that your information is more accurate, and that we will get a railcar number on monday. However, if we don't, their suggestion is to have you pull an event history for the car on monday. Apparently if it is done with stripes and ready to ship it should look like this:
3800 produced
4B00 bayed
4200 shipped (to stripe plant)
4B00 bayed
4104 bailment invoice
4150 invoice
4200 shipped to final destination

I'm hoping none of this is necessary and it really will be shipped today or tommorow. But if not, would you be willing to get an event history for me? Thanks again for all your help.

Thank you so much for your help. You did post in the right place. I hadn't gotten back to you because I work nights so I've been sleeping all day. So if it get on a train today or saturday, hopefully it will update on the tracking database on monday. I had heard about the satisfaction guarantee, and was wondering if you guys were participating.
