Yes, I remove the pistons, seals and dust boots, clean them and then reinstall after coating. In my thread in the classifieds, I have some pics of how to cap the lines. I'm travelling and on my iPad, so I can't link directly to it right now.
Do you remove the pistons from the Calipers when you coat them, or do you leave them in? Also, what do you recommend we do with the lines when we disconnect them, I'm assuming we plug the line so that the brake fluid doesn't drip out, but is there a easy way to do this? In the old days we would put a rag on the end of the line. Now I'm worried that having the system open long enough to send and receive the calipers to you, that this would introduce moisture into the brake system, and/or drain it enough to cause issue with the anti-lock brake system? I don't read that people are complaining about this, but the thought crossed my mind.
hey mike I really want to paint my calipers but the problem is I cant find the right color anywhere. I wanted to know what's the wait for your services. I would like them to either be the color of the Nissan gtr 2011 gold color. Or either the bayside blue color from the Nissan skyline.
I buy them from several sources. NIC Industries, mostly, then Eastwood, Columbia Coatings and Powder buy the Pound. Some colors I use are custom formulations of my own, made with combinations from different sources.
