I'm hoping to get a grudge match thing up for next year. Have a bunch of them. It really is fun. Adds a bit of flavor. As long as the two racing are doing it in the name of fun.

So glad you are back among us and shared that story.

I so want to try this someday. I can't imagine the adrenaline rush!

I'm very proud of both of you guys for making this happen and letting us share it - either there or from home (like me).

This was awesome!

This was by far my favorite part of C5FII... and I wasn't even in Arizona!

My two biggest memories (out of MANY) will be this race and riding in Roberts car.

I understand completely because I know how ridiculously busy you were. :yikes:

We almost didn't get the race in. Chris was just swamped with the fest. As was tribone and the others. I tried to help but found myself in the way so I just waited for Chris. At the time of the race I was kinda glad we did it this way. No notice, no announcement of what time in advance and at the last moment so nobody knew. It took some pressure off. I suspect Chris felt the same way. But neither of us was tipping our hands.

 I can't say as I blame either of you considering the amount of anticipation that had built up for the race.

Agreed. it really is more about the group of guys and gals than anything else.

It was great to finally meet you Russ. I'm glad we got the details with the track sorted out.

I hope owen wasn't too dissapointed with the track. I know he helped a bunch of people. Please pass on my thanks.

Owen and the entire Houston Crew were Class... I can't thank them enough.... Randy and Chris, what a pleasure getting to spend time with you two, and to get to see the race, priceless...

Thanks. The track was prepped nicely the night before (they got it ready right before they started their evening races). I think we were all just hoping for the same track prep the next day. It was very slippery and there are ways to combat that even in the heat. Owen's car was even sliding on slicks which has never happened before.

Owen wasn't mad...he's just run on a lot of tracks and organized a lot of races. That competitiveness comes out in all of us the more we put into our cars. We all still had a blast, and I'm sure the fest will continue to get better year after year.

Oh yea...next year...no more bracket racing! :mad0260: :D
