So you can buy a new car with ABL, but if you have an accident, and your door is damaged, you can't get the ABL fixed?

Maybe this is due to my lack of intelligence, but can these lights be used as just straight up replacements for the stock lights, as well as to extend the lights across the dash?

How can I get in on this preorder? I went to SJs site and it doesnt allow me to actually purchase anything. I want to get three of these pipes for my doors and dash. Just so I understand these are JUST the pipes correct? Id have to go to Gene (GMParts House) to get the actual LEDs.

So what's the deal with these, how do they work exactly?
Saw something about ABL D: ...which my car doesn't have..

Thanks for the assist stieger! :D

FYI, there is a Buy page on the site that gives the purchasing options.

These are the parts that spread the light out across the dash or door panels from a single LED.

Single LED? Won't need two...one on either end? following with interest.

sjmautoprod 12-01-2011 10:31 AM

Hmm. Have most people used an LED on each end?

TAG UR IT 12-01-2011 10:36 AM

That's how a lot of them are doing it...simply because the passenger side light pipe is so long and the light tends to fade out towards the end. We usually put in one on either end, fishing the wire behind the dash to the far right end. It just gives even light all the way across. if you are using the same GM LED to light this, might want to use two.

The passenger side dash is too long for one LED to illuminate it. You need one on both ends.

Has anyone tried the flex on the driver's side yet? I'm curious if it cuts down the gap.

sjmautoprod 12-01-2011 11:42 AM

We have not received the first shipment yet, but, I can try this with my samples.
