Gotcha, that is interesting. Would definitely love to get a chance to try both out back to back.... well, ANY chance to shoot some nice high powered rifles is a good one :D

Haha so i doubt this will happen but does anyone have a set of scope rings for a 1903-a4 sniper rifle. I have had the rifle for about a year. Didnt have the right scope, so i recently bought a weaver 330 for it and need a set of rings. Dont really care about blued or parked. They are 3/4in. If anyone knows where i can get a good set or originals please let me know.

Anyone have an opinion on SA XD's? Specifically the .45 ACP?

i had one for several years.. i would buy it again, just a compact/tactical .45.. i concealed a XD .45 4 1/2" with 26 rounds, but now since i sold it, i purchased a M&P 45 and i will conceal it + 38 rounds... im starting to think that a .45 may be too big of a gun to carry for conealment with amount of ammo i also carry, so i was thinking about making the M&P a truck/house gun and carrying a G19c with 78 rounds..

as soon as the BATFE clears me, i'll have some pictures of my new rig...

If its a NFA weapon, I am considering a local buy for one myself, but need to see what the guy wants for it and find a Class 3 to help me with the paperwork.

Damn lol that's a lot of rounds. Right now I'm trying to decide between the XD .45, a USP .45, and a HK45. I know they're all pretty far apart in price, but I'm trying to justify the $1k price tag on the HK45 lol

the State of Louisiana has already cleared me and BATFE has cashed my $200 application check about 4 weeks ago, just waiting to see if the Federal government shutting down will affect the time it takes to get my stamp.. being that i own and business i was able to put it under it to avoid having to produce photos and fingerprints to the Feds... lol

i looked at the USP 45, but for the amount i paid for the M&P 45, Crimson Trace laser grip and 100 rounds it didnt make sense... especially since i hate external safety's and ambidextrous mag release.. the M&P has none of that..

I checked yesterday and there was none. Ebay has a few but the prices are coming close to about $100 bucks! I was suprised.

I'd hold out - I'll bet they can be had cheaper than that... I picked up some pcs. to an old Winchester Model 70 pre64 that were repros. and the guy wanted $200 for them - I waited and found origs. from a part gun for $100 for basically the same parts.

73camarolt 04-08-2011 08:19 PM

Yea some guy called me and said 250. I laughed. I paid that for the scope and that is much more rare. If i find a nice set under 80 or so i will try and get them. But nothing north of 100.
