Same problem here, mines a week old now and the trunk to open 3 times now. Unfortunately it's not consistent so I'm just going to monitor it for now.

I had the same problem
 
I posted yesterday about not being able to close the trunk. My wife mentioned she had trouble opening it, it made an odd noise, and it took several attempts before it finally unlocked. Yesterday, I mis-led myself into thinking it was the emergency release trunk cable. But after further inspection, I realized it was the silinoid.

For whatever reason, it began working again.

After reading your post, I have a feeling the trunk silinoid is going to be a common problem and headache. We'll see.... :cry:
