ON STAR APP FOR THE ZL1

Anybody download the On Star ZL1 App? Took me an hour to read all the fine print and acknowledgements/agreements. Now I have a headache. Who writes this crap, you need a damn lawyer to understand it all.

Anyway, I haven't hit "Agree" yet, thought I'd ask if anyone else is using it first and what they think of it. It's available on the iPhone and the iPad. Gives you feedback on MPGs, how much fuel is in the tank etc...

If you downloaded this App, please post your opinion.

Great App.....worth it, Can see fuel, tire pressure, average mpg, and other things to boot.

I liked it when I had it.. Don't have it anymore bc I didn't renew my onstar but liked that I was able to start my car and lock the doors (just in case I forgot) with my phone.

Worth it? Thought it was Free. Like that you can locate the car, if need ever be!

It is a free app that comes with your onstar service. It's nice that you can do all that without even being in the car.

I thought it was more useful for an Automatic car for the remote start feature. On my last car, I could start my car when leaving work, and it was warm once I got to it (or cool in summer). Loved that feature! I have a long walk to my car from work and it's not within sight.

I did the download! I hear ya, definitely a plus for those with an automatic, big plus being able to remotely start up the car.

The app is free and definitely worth it. One of the other things you can do with it is send turn by turn directions to your car. If you do this while not operating your car it will receive them the next time you do use your car.

Also like that on star gives you a report every month to your e mail how your car is doing. Also like that when my car is covered for winter on star rolls over the time you paid for the service, the car phone to I like that.

No point in me having it as it can't read anything from my car due to the aeroforce gauges I have installed!

So other than starting your car what's the point of this one.:iono:

What do you mean by On Star rolls over the time? I've stored vettes for years & never got any credit while in storage.

Yes you need to call on star the second you cover car for winter, and xm radio I call to get time for winter, Have you ever called to let them know, on star knows you don't use car, please call them when you store the car, they will add / roll over time to when you start driving again. They did it for me.
