Charleston SC Camaro Meet Feb. 27th
1 Attachment(s)
We all got together today and met in Charleston SC. We had about 40 Camaro's show up at the Air Force base where we started. We then took a cruise around the base then head to Morgan Creek Grill in the Isle of Palms for lunch. After we had our lunch sponsored by MTI Racing, we then cruised to Fort Moultrie on Sullivans Island then on to the Charleston Battery in downtown Charleston. After a quick photo op we headed over the Ravenel Jr Bridge for the final leg of our Charity Cruise for Camp Happy Days to Patriots Point for our last stop and group photo. We all had an amazing time getting to know each other. I want to thank Spike and Michael and sponsors for making this an amazing experience!

Hey all, this is Julia. I was in the SOM Firehawk today and also represented the benefitting charity, Camp Happy Days. I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who came out for the meet and greet in Charleston and donated to Camp Happy Days. Together you all donated $500!!! We are so grateful for your generosity and it was a pleasure to get to know you. Thank you to the participants, organizers, and sponsors of this event for allowing Camp Happy Days to be a part of it!! Camaro5.com rocks :headbang:

Awesome meet. This was my first one in any car and it was outstanding that I could see so many variations on the Camaro's out there. I was amazed at how well we stuck together as a group with so many cars at the meet. Outstanding work by Spike, Josh, Michael and ofcourse Stuntman Tom the official photographer. Thanks Jill and HHP for the gift certificate, I will put it to good use!
BTW, the car's at 1194 miles now just to let everyone know :) I am exhausted after the last 3 days of driving all those miles. I will sort through the pics and post them later. Great meeting everyone, can't wait for the next one! |

It was cool to have met so many new people today and some from a meet we had in Columbia in December. Yes definately, thanks to all who tirelessly put this meet together and made it happen. Oh and the lunch.... Safe trips home to everyone and lets do it again after camarofest. I have a bunch of pics I will download tomorrow.

I'll post the pictures I/my wife took spanning from the AFB to IoP once I upload/resize them. Had to duck out just before lunch, but I kind of wish I could have stayed or come back in time for the big group shot. Oh, well... Maybe next time.

Sorry for not getting on here last night, been sorting thru over 500 pictures.
Big thanks to Michael's Maro (Mike) and MTI Racing for lunch, camaroincarolina (Jill) for helping spread the word thruout the state to get the turnout we did, Tibbs-86 (Josh) for the flags and pace trucks, Stuntman Tom for braving the cold weather to take some excellent photos during the cruise, Jeff from HHPracing for the gift certificates, CamaroChrome and all of our other sponsors for their gifts/donations, and to Sexyhawk (Julia) from Camp Happy Days. and an even bigger thanks to all of you who came out. without you guys, this wouldnt have been as big as it was! now, without further ado... |
Charleston Meet
Ya'll what a wonderful day we had! Thanks to Michael and Spike for making it a memorable event! I have already gotten emails from a few people thanking us for putting this on. Can't wait to see more pics!!!
|
I was surprised to see that many Aqua Blues! Good to see them all in one spot. If only we had a fourth gen or two (early and late?) show up, we could have tried to take the picture I want...
'67, '68', 69', early '70s, late '70s, third gen, fourth gen(s), fifth gen all lined up in order. Maybe next time. It also could have been cool to see all the 5th gens lined up according to color. I'll try to post my pictures later today, after church and whatnot. |
