LED Dome Light Conversion + review (pics included)
2 Attachment(s)
I recently installed my new LED dome light from V-LEDS.com and I could not be happier. No more crappy yellow dome light! I held off on writing a review for this because I wanted to see if it was going to be stable.
Reasons I'm a happy camper right now: -fast shipping and great service -high quality + great value -easy install -most importantly... LOOKS AWESOME :happyanim: I used the 5 LED version. There is also a brighter one available but I can't remember the model number. I have two friends who have the brighter version in their vehicles and it's almost TOO bright.. so I went with the standard one. The light output is marginally brighter than the factory amber dome light. It was very easy to pop the light cover off and slip this little guy in. I was done in less than 10 minutes. For anyone who has the factory HID option headlights, imo these are a must for a uniform look. Here's the link to the ones I put in my ride: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...-p4481039.html before/after pics: |
looks good!! reel good!

This was one of those "why didn't I buy this a year ago as soon as I bought the car" things. Plus it even matches the ambient interior lighting :)

I've got 4 of the uber bright SMD LED PC board lights from V-LEDS in my daily driver (07 xterra) when my friends get in they think its like an operating room or something since its brighter than day light. I love it, too bad the Camaro only has one dome light.

Even lights up the whole rest of your garage :emoticon11:

Colors man colors...... I had the green dome and footwells installed in my daughter's Synergy. Now it matches the ambient lighting on the doors.

I was wondering if anyone has step by step instructions on how to open up the dome light. I've taken the white plastic piece off but looks like you need to take off the switch to get the main part off. I'd rather not break something and although there are many threads about replacing the lights I didn't see anything that said where there are tabs to remove the parts.
Thanks so much. -Jody |
Figured it out, thanks.
