Volt price being dropped.
 

GM announced the Volt base price will be dropped 12% to make them more competitive. Base will be $34k and after tax rebate it will be $27k. At that price I could picture the wife buying one.

I was considering the Volt, but the price was a little high for me.

No it's not. It's right in line with what everyone else is doing.

$23,986.95 out the door would be more like it.

12% is a lot and that's gotta take a big chunk out of their profits for that vehicle.

I hope they didn't cut any corners to make up the difference.

That is a nice drop in price.

I have a question - if a volt is in an accident is it referred to as a short afterwards ;)

And completely unrealistic.

Cadillac is releasing the ERL. A luxury version and that will have a high price tag around $60k. That's where they make their money.

Probably a combination of both.
