2015 Black 1SS/1LE

I finally decided to it was time to make a change. My 2013 1LT RS had to go, it is time for an upgrade. I have had my eye on the 1LE for almost a year now. I was building my car on chevrolet.com and the private offer came up, that was my sign to call Becky at Rodgers and get the ball rolling.
I was going to have her order me one, but I couldn't decide on the color. She mentioned that she had one on the lot, Black. She sent me the build sheet: 1SS. 1LE, check. NPP, check. Recaros, check. Exactly what I wanted. She delivered the car the next morning. |

It was very bittersweet seeing my Camaro getting loaded on to the flatbed and driving away. There has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into that car. Too many amazing adventures to even begin thinking about where to start, and some that can't be talked about.... Then I sat down in the new one, started it up and have been grinning ear to ear since!

CAI and Apex scoop went in with 2 miles on the odometer. Then I broke it in right the first day!
The following week I did some painting under the hood, of course Victory Red. I needed a little piece of the old in with the new. Polished the strut tower brace, throttle body and thermostat housing. Added polished billet caps and covers. Sleeved all the wires and hoses. Topped it off with an LS3 badge. The exterior is pretty much done stock. I painted the front and rear bow ties, added front splash guards, ZL1 rockers and black SS badges. Going to changed the Camaro on the fenders to "1LE" badges soon. |
Excellent upgrade

Congratulation on getting a 15 1LE
I did the exact same thing. But it is funny how the color were kinda switched I had a 2013 Black 1LS and then I traded it in for a 2015 2SS/1LE but I got it in Red (Red Hot actually) But yes it is a enormous upgrade from a V6 Enjoy it man and it take more pics of that beauty. BTW how many miles did you do before you broke it in ? I was told like 500 miles |
Congrats the car looks great, and you choose the right color.
I traded in my 2012 SS which I pretty much turned into a 1LE, so I know the feeling its sad seeing it go. |
Very nice, quick on the upgrades. Good luck, nice ride.

As for the break in, there are a lot of 55 mile an hour 2 lane highways where I live in Northern Michigan. I ran it just over 400 miles in about 6 hours the first day. |
I hear you on the picture thing and I think it's cool about the red under the hood. Non car guys never understand that type of stuff. From v6 to being envied by all. Good car name for you there "envied" enjoy the beast.

That's why I did not want another black Camaro again. As beautiful it is I couldn't maintain cleaning it almost every other day because any little dirt will make it look completely dirty. And the 2nd day I got the car I drove over 120 miles and now this week I drove over another 200 miles. I got the car with 34 miles and now it sits at home with over 700 miles in 13 days LOL. So I think labor day weekend I am going to change all fluids as well so the break in procedure would be done. I've been wanting to drive it really hard for the past 13 days. Who cares if the car is dirty. It is a 1LE it can be full of slime for all I care cause it will shows us 2 things. 1. You drive it and not leave it at home 2. It is a 1LE :hail: and a beautiful one at that. |
