2012 ZL1 "going rate"

Hey guys. I've decided to part with my 2012 ZL1 with 6400 miles on it-no accidents. Since many of you are researching prices anyways, can you share some info with me? I've searched Ebay, but advertised prices on Ebay don't necessarily reflect what they are actually selling for. Thanks for the help.

a red one owner vehicle with 63 miles went for $54k on an ebay auction. not sure if that helps you

well from what I understand, ones like mine with only 600 miles are doing anywhere from 49K to 52500. All depends how bad you want to give yours away or need to sell. Why are you selling if I may ask?

And after lots of thought, I decided to keep mine. I love everything about the car. Theres a fellow here on the fourm that is looking for a really nice ZL1 and is approved to purchase maybe get some pics posted.

Kelly Blue Book puts it at $51,379 in excellent condition.

My first car was a 68 Camaro, so I've always been passionate about Camaros. We needed a car for set-up to develop our ZL1 parts, so it was a good excuse to purchase one. I've enjoyed having it, but it doesn't fit well in our situation. My daily driver is a Silverado with a Duramax-love it! My wife has a Charger which is her pride and joy, so we usually drive it when we are together. I would rather jump in the ZL1 on Saturday night or Sunday, but over the years I've learned the "art of compromise". You know the old saying, "If the wife isn't happy..."
We recently came across someone fairly close with a ZL1 in case we need one for mock-up, so at this point it doesn't make sense to keep ours around. I will try to get some pics in the next few days.

I have a good friend of mine who owns a wiring harness shop here in NJ M parker auto works, Frank had a 69 indy pace car back in 1981 with the 396 4sp all original. He sold that to start this business he still has today and is doing very well. I thought he was crazy for selling that pace car to start a wire harness business but I'm the one who was wrong.

I bought my 12 with 1780 miles on it and about $4k in mods (headers, clear bra, pulley, tune, custom painted vents, blacked out markers, LED tail lights) for $51,900 2 months ago.

Sorry to hear this. I hate seeing posts from people wanting to get rid of their ZL1's. I totally understand the circumstances behind it but sad none the less. :(

in my mind 48k-52.5k is proabably the price point depending on options and milage.

Do a completed items search for the last 30days and it will give you some kind of idea. the only one on there is the 63 mile car for 54k.

at 6k you in some way's will be a higher milage car unfortunatly. the highest milage on ebay now is 5,500.

Thanks for the info and opinions guys. Supply and demand still has a large effect on ZL1 market, so current info is super helpful.

Thats a good baseline price for what to expect. KBB isn't a reliable source for prices though.

It just depends on your options equipped. Your looking anywhere from $51-55k realistically. I would not sell it for $48-49k. How much did you end up purchasing it for? That would also depend if your willing to take that hit.

Paid $48,300 for a Chevrolet Certified 2012 ZL-1, 3050 miles. Not a scratch on it. Polished wheels & Carbon Fibre hood Insert. Out the door price before taxes and tags....
