Setting up suspension on ZL1 for Road Course Racing
I'm interested in hearing what should be upgraded on the ZL1 if I'm setting it up for road course racing? I've read through Pete's suspension evaluation thread but it appears most of it is for the SS.
My understanding is GM upgraded the bushings and various other suspension parts for the 1LE & ZL1, so with that being said what are the critical suspension parts on the ZL1 that should be upgraded? |
I would be dealing with brakes first, cooling 2nd, suspension third on a ZL1.

I'm addressing the cooling issues and have my plans for that. Sooo back to my suspension question. |
I have installed on my 2013 ZL1 Pedders HD bushings front and rear, lowering springs, and sway bars. Much better feedback from the car after installing the parts. It is also more controlled when the rear begins to step out. I already added Racing Brake rotors, steel lines, and Motul 600 brake fluid. I am using Pete's alignment specs on my ZL1. Good luck with your project.

While some parts in the ZL1 are better than the SS, most can still be improved upon.
Here are the key things I would suggest: Subframe bushings Upper control arm bushings Trailing arms Sway bars Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
