Trifecta tune

Does trifecta void warranty?

SIXJAK 05-07-2012 12:42 PM

It should but since our ECU's don't have flash counters simply re-flashing your ECU back to stock before you take it in takes care of that issue. Plu they're not looking for tunes on a V6 Camaro:D

I don't believe anyone has reported this happening with a trifecta tune if they remembered to swap back to the stock tune before bringing it into the dealership.

not to say that it couldn't, but then again, some dealerships void for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they can try to find.

Definetly interested in this. If I can work around the void I would consider getting a trifecta tune...I wonder what would be better though a trifecta tune or a dyno tune or is it the same

just depends on the dealer. if they have to plug into the OBDII port and look at the ECU they might notice your not stock. other than that just keep quiet and they should fix th eissue under warranty. call your dealer and ask

LOL.... That's like stopping and asking a cop if he's shooting radar on the road you are driving on and then turning around and speeding in front of him. LOL

i meant call the dealer and see if their mod friendly. not specifically about tuning and the warranty bcus that'll void it right away

Always flash back to stock before you go in. The dealers scan tool will show stock.

If they decide to send your ECM in to GM, all bets are off.

A dealer is not looking to void your warranty they get paid to fix your car under warranty that is their bread and butter

We can provide a tour of numerous dealerships to prove this theory wrong.

What does a dealership gain by voiding your warranty? Do they get incentives? I know it is not going to bring customers back. The guys I deal with just want your business and are out to please you not get you upset.

Macrackie 05-08-2012 07:17 AM

We pay more than warranty. Dollar per hour wise that is.

mhog 05-08-2012 07:32 AM

At some point you have to draw the line and take chances. After all it is your car! Who is making the payments, you or the dealer. Just do what ever it takes to get by. Flash it back to stock, go to another dealer if yours isn't mod friendly. Or you can leave it stock and read about us having fun with our cars.
