Scroll down a bit because the raffle isn't until Sept., so it's at the bottom of the list.

1 of only 4 ZL1's painted IBM. Only $25 a ticket. I think I'll buy a couple pay check's worth!! :sm0:

I admit, I considered not sharing this. But it would have leaked out sooner or later!
And I figured, how cool would it be for one of the members here to win it?!

Same here. So pretty

StangKiller-SS 04-22-2012 08:59 AM

I'm sure I'm going to buy some tickets not sure how many. Only way I'd own a ZL1 would be if it was IBM, might be my only chance.

Baldwin feeder 04-22-2012 09:06 AM

Oh man this keeps my dream of owning an IBM ZL1 alive I just hope she is the 6 speed manual. Is this the first time the museum raffled a camaro?

1981DFA 04-22-2012 12:36 PM

Quick question. Are these cars going to have vin number and be legal for public roads or are they just going to come with a bill of sale and not legal for public road use?

1981DFA 04-22-2012 10:54 PM

Anyone?

No, they did a convertible last year and a coupe the summer before. They were just regular 2SS models. This is the first time they're doing something this rare/unique. They've done quite a few unique Vettes, like that rare Carlisle Blue GS that I think is still up there now.

I see no reason why they would not be legal for public roads. Otherwise, nobody would buy the raffle tickets.

It says it has some miles on it as a show vehicle. I'd imagine it will be completely upfitted with whatever production components were developed after it was built. So the winner should have no problem registering it.

Monte Mac 04-26-2012 10:04 AM

Wow, I had no idea this was such a rare item. I saw one at work a frew weeks back and one on the road when I went out for lunch (most likely the same one).

SixCyl 04-26-2012 10:06 AM

I'm buying one for giggles....if I win I will slip into a coma to keep from exploding.

toddsZL1 04-26-2012 10:47 AM

I'LL buy some would be like winning the lottery!!!!!

2001ragtop 04-26-2012 10:59 AM

the website says the camaro has 10,000 miles on it, but at least its free if you win it

rolnslo 04-26-2012 11:25 AM

I'm in for 1. I figured if my mom won a car in a raffle when I was a kid, maybe it'll happen to me too... :chevy:

Ringo64 04-26-2012 11:30 AM

Got 1, I hope I win. :happyanim:

Even though the odds are highly stacked against me :(

Papa T 04-26-2012 11:37 AM

:chevy:I couldn't not buy one... :chevy:

I was on the phone with my wife and told her about it...
She says "But that's not what I want." (She wants a folding hard top Miata)
I told her "If I win it, I would sell it and get you your Miata."

Then I came to my senses and said "Heck no, My RJT 2LT would still be my Daily Driver... The ZL1 would be my weekend car."

She said "That's what I am afraid of." :)

Vega 04-26-2012 11:40 AM

Nice :-) Right on the heels of that crazy lottery haha

I always laugh at the people who buy like 100 tickets. 1 ticket or 100 your odds are still the same really

If i won i'd probly sell it. I mean i LOOOOOVE ZL1s but this rare 1 of 4 would be better in someone's collection than being daily driven and romped on by me. Id rather let someone pamper it for being rare and buy another one for myself that was custom suited to me ^_^

Jango 04-26-2012 11:42 AM

Tickets purchased!

"fingers crossed"

For the lottery...Yes

For a drawing where only about 500 tickets will actually be purchased....No

But that is a looong debated topic:laugh:

Amenti 04-26-2012 11:47 AM

I bought a couple. I just couldn't let the opportunity pass by.

It'll end up being a ton of entries, since there's no cap on the sale of these tickets; but, a chance in hell is better than no chance in hell.

Bobbyosto 04-26-2012 11:49 AM

I'd buy a few if the time frame was much less. By Sept, there will be zillions purchaced, tough odds. For kicks, maybe.

jdcvictory11 04-26-2012 12:01 PM

I might have to buy a few tickets. The drawing is the day after my birthday. What a freaking sweet present.

swizlstik 04-26-2012 12:14 PM

Gotta roll the dice for this one!!

Falundir 04-26-2012 12:45 PM

I'm buying one. I'm of the mindset that if you are going to be that lucky, it'll only take one.

Not to mention it goes to a good cause (IMHO).

Blake_GM 04-26-2012 12:57 PM

Oh my god..
