either 5w30 oil or bad gas.....#6 piston went out. 20k miles. is at Ron Carter Chevrolet.......

That sucks. What year is it? Any engine mods?

Uh, a dead fuel injector will cause that. In fact, I bet thats what happened...or he sucked in a hellofalot of water and it hydrolocked.

There is NO way ANY oil will cause a #6 piston to fail. It would be the rod or mains first (among 10 other failures before that)

One thing for sure is that running 5W30 had nothing to do with it. MB SL55 AMG uses
0w30 or 0w40 and I don't see engine problems with these. Most owners run the piss out of them also.
