I need to hit that lottery pretty soon so I can get on the list

Not worth it IMHO. Maybe the limited production run will help resale years later.

But unless you're a die-hard fanboy of the z28 moniker, the ZL1 is the better way to go.

Disagree. The Z/28 is a pure track car from the factory that will likely beat most performance cars that cost $200,000+ on a road course.
The Z/28 is not for everyone and it sounds like you are not among the people who understand this car.

Sounds like the COPO of street tracks

CMYarb 07-12-2013 01:26 AM

Its worth it alright. The few specs I've read about so far sound wicked.

TAG UR IT 07-12-2013 01:28 AM

it'll be worth it. but it won't be your every day street drivin' car.

Exactly, it will be well worth it

Once the ring times get posted people may change their minds.

Just because somebody does not think it is worth 70+ k does mean they don't get it. Just isn't worth it to him . The limited run will help it maintain value but I would assume the majority of the z/28 will forever live in a garage and not on a track. Personally with dealer mark up etc I'd be looking at a lightly used zr1

If soccer moms can shell out 70k by the boatloads for Escalades I'm pretty sure plenty of guys can and will justify / buy a Z/28.
