ZL1 builds restart tomorrow - help with color

Tomorrow is the day orders reopen for the Zl1.

I've always driven black cars but thinking of changing it up and going red.

What's the difference between red rock and the red tint coat?

Any down side to ordering the red tint coat?

I have black and there is not a more sinister looking color! That said, if I could do it over again I'd get Red Tintcoat. It reminds me of when I was a kid and the cool guys painted their Muscle Cars Candy Apple Red or Electric Blue.

I always go for the color they use for promo. You can not go wrong. I went for red on my ZL1. And will go for red on the Z28, I wanted white at first, but the pics of test cars are going to be red and silver looks like.
A solid color would be easy to match if need be, metallic is harder and most of the time can never be matched. I have victory red for ZL1 and will go for Red Hot on Z28.
I think red tint coat is a metallic?

Mine is Victory Red, its a 2013. I had not heard about Red Rock??? Must me a different red I guess?:iono:

The Victory Red is solid deep red, no metal flake, red tint coat has the metal flake and is darker, or more bergundy for lack of a better description.

The only downside is that it's too sexy.
Of course, I may be biased.

Red Rock is clearly an orange red.
CRT has a bit of purple tint to it.
Depends on the light, though.

They are both metallic, which I like.
It adds sparkle and more depth to the paint.

For you, how about Red Rock, because it is a new color.
There are already a few CRT ZL1s in the area.

BTW...if you want to see Red Rock in person,
the dealer by Quaker Bridge had a 1LE a couple of weeks ago.

I am getting ready to order also, Color is everything . I was set on black, but the Red Rock looks great and I also really like the metalic blue.

I have the red rock and love it - I was not even considering a "red" color until I saw it on the lot.

IMO, when you look at the two metallic reds side-by-side, the CRT has a pink tint to it.

Red Rock is funky, but I like it. Really Pops in the sun

I love black but it is hard to care for. If I had to order again, I'd go Red for sure. It would have to have black wheels though. That's the only way Red works for me.
