1LE emblem placement
 

I just ordered my chrome 1le emblems for the hood from roger at emblempros and wanted to know the measurements for placement on the hood. Any help would be appreciated :D

Seems everyone is doing their own thing with these... good luck.

I just looked at lots of pictures and started taping the emblems in spots to see what looked good. Our hoods are a little different from the zl1 hoods, they are strait at the top and ours have a slight curve from the cowl.

How far back from the edge of the hood does it start?

Put mine on the trunk...Have one more to spare....

Mine is about 4 inches from the edge.

I was wondering why this seems alittle big on the trunk(E is slightly crooked, FYI :(, these were hood emblems btw). You changed your mind?

i just used my eyeballs and some painter's tape to place mine:yikes:

Any special cleaner for the hood so they will stick?

Nope, just a spray of quick detailer and a good microfiber wipe. The adhesive on the emblems is pretty strong

If I decide to sell the other one I will let you know. I may wind up putting them on the hood. Not sure yet....

Yeah for now...I may put them on the hood. Not sure what I want to do. I got it a little crooked but if I take it off I will put them on the hood. I will have to put more emblem tape on them but no biggie..

IMO as long as they are consistant on both sides

Gay ass gold chevy emblems GONE and "SS" GONE. Almost, almost left off the fender badges too but the black looks sick....for now :P

that badge looks amazing on the hood, i'll probably do the same thing. Has anyone replaced the front grill "SS" emblem with a 1LE emblem? will emblempros make one that works? Price?

I'm sure roger can make that badge if you gave him measurements. The issue I'd see is having a clip/"landing pad" that would work with it

good deal. i'm also contemplating de-badging the CAMARO logo on the front fenders. we'll see once i get the car :)
