Tjutande ljud från sidospegeln

1 Attachment(s)

Attachment 368610

I'm too lazy to write in english and i think the problem only affect the big eu-mirrors.
But long story short i have a whining noise coming from the top of the sidemirror and was wondering if anyone had the same problem it disappears if i have my hand on top of the mirror, but it gets so damn cold  so it's no solution.

Those big truckmirrors are bound to be noisy. There will propably come nice replacements in a while.

Not that i have noticed :happyanim: i think they removed it on EU-model.

And the dealer is looking in to the noise issue, more revving or the stereo on for now.

That is great news, i have actually ordered a skip shift eliminator but i guess i dont have to use it now. Pheeew... :-) Are you still happy with your car and what kind of mileage are you getting from it. Actually the mileage is no big deal but it would be fun to know.

Yes i'm happy with it haven't run into any problems yet except the noise from the mirror. The mileage depend on how heavy the right foot is  I drove ~20mil with my parents in the car mostly highway 70-90 with some villages along the way and ended up at 0.97l/mil when i drive alone i get around 1.2-1.5l/mil not much city-driving.

Noice from EURO mirrors

About the sound coming from the rearviewmirror...It's ONLY from the EURO-mirrors!It's the turnlight that is making the noice. The fix is to take it out and put silicon in the grove that runs along the edges of the turnlight.I've done this and all of the "wissling" noice goes away. The dealer helped me with instructions how to remove the glass (to get to the turnlight). And yes I wanted to do this myselves./BEnglish is not my native language
