Camaro VS 370Z
Ok i got around to looking at the 370Z forums, and although i don't mind the Z. It did nothing but make me Laugh. Cause almost every single one of them that Dissed on the Camaro, there only excuse for it was. "Its not a track worthy sports car."
I Don't know about you guys, but even though i'm probably going to take my Camaro to the track once. How many average Joe people that bought the 370Z And Camaro are bying it for the track, and not for the looks and personality? The 370Z Might be alittle more Track worthy, but you just can't get the "Shock and Awww." out of it that you will the Camaro. In my opinion. I would have considered down grading to the 370Z If it would have just Smoked the Camaro in a Drag, but by the Books and by tests. It doesn't look like its going too. I would like some opinions from Camaro and Z owners if you would be so kind. |
The only Z car I would ever buy is a Z28. ;)

LOL, I wanna go over to the 370Z sight and just piss them off. They havn't even seen Camaro Track Numbers and they are dissing it. Its a 4 seater, and if it keeps up with your 2 Door "Sports Car" Then thats pretty damn impressive. Sorry but i would go for a Saturn Sky or a Solstic over the 370Z, cause i don't want a 2 Door Maxima.

Besides the Camaro being a very worthy car in performance and one of the sweetest looking cars that has come out in a long time IMO, the Camaro is American, the Z is not!
So for me the Camaro is the better choice by a long shot! |
the only Zs i would own besides the Z28 are the Datsun 240Z and a nissan 300ZX but no 350 or 370s for me
|
I had a 300z try to jump my '79 TA I restored/make a jot rod out of and smoked that 300z so bad I thought I was running up against a 4 banger! Now, granted my TA engine is 500cid, 525hp 575tq but none the less, my 2SS will do the same... smoke those Z's!

I like the 370Z and it probably is better on a road course, but the Camaro SS fits my style better. I'd rather be faster in the 1/4 mile and still be good on the road course than the other way around. Plus I love that V-8 sound and torque, and the LS3 has a lot of potential when it comes to modding.

I'd hold all real comparisons until after you can drive both back-to-back. If I were to guess, I'd say the 370Z guys will probably be right in that the 370Z is more track focused.
I think these are 2 very different cars, although competing for the same buyers. I will probably buy a camaro, but only cause I already own a great sports car and need a cool looking, fun to drive kid- toting 2nd vehicle. For that, the camaro is more appealing to me. |

i WOULD own the 350s or 370s to drift in because i drag and drift however i wouldnt pay that much for a drift car...maybe when they are 5 to 8 years old and only worth about 5k:thumbup: |

I dont think you want to start comparing wins and losses on road tracks between Camaro's and Z's. The 370Z will walk all over any gen Camaro. |

ya the cherry ones will be 15k but someone who didnt take care of one and doesnt have the time or want to make the effort to fix it up will sell it for cheap...thats where i come in :) Plus it doesnt hurt to live on an island full of Zs that parents buy there 16 year old kids who all they do is abuse them. |
