Fifth Gear Web TV Edition 6 - Chevrolet Camaro

Fifth Gear's Vicki Butler-Henderson test drives the V6 Camaro and has much good things to say. Some of the cheekier comments include:

"When you're sat behind the wheel you can't help but grin"
"It's naughtier than the normal "yank tank"
"You'll get just as much attention as you would in a Ferrari."

Pretty cool video.

"You'll get just as much attention as you would in a Ferrari."

I like that line.

Those roads sure look fun!

GTAHVIT 08-13-2009 04:23 PM

rudack 08-13-2009 05:12 PM

RJlax13 08-13-2009 07:23 PM

A big F'n Cheshire Cat Grin is what I had on my face when I first test drove the LT. Ill be driving my own any day now...

usmcbmw 08-13-2009 07:27 PM

everytime I watch this woman test drive cars its raining lol

chevyridinghigh 08-13-2009 07:38 PM

SHE's HoTT

carsismeZ06 08-13-2009 07:49 PM

Yay! Something I posted made it to the front page!

Dark Storm 08-13-2009 08:38 PM

those roads are a 3 mile circuit proving grounds. top gear goes there a lot.

Moorepheus 08-13-2009 08:39 PM

I think she peed herself when she got all 4 wheels off the ground. It was pretty funny to hear her giggle when she did that...lol

Countach 08-13-2009 09:02 PM

5th gear sucks, they will always live in Top Gear's shadow

Hanzo 08-13-2009 09:04 PM

I think currently 25,000 British Pounds = 41,614 dollars
Wow, for a V6.

optical 08-13-2009 09:16 PM

Great find! Top Gear rules though!

DrumDawg 08-13-2009 09:24 PM

It cost's about $2500-3000 just to ship the car and then you end up paying the extra tax. Everything cost's more in England. Their wiring shouldn't take a week to change since it use to cost me about $200 to have it done in the UK.

Metal Camaro 08-13-2009 09:52 PM

Nothin like watching a woman enjoy a muscle car...even if its a V6 its no punk.

GRAHL 08-13-2009 10:24 PM

It takes a week to "totally rewire" the lights?? sounds like a lucrative business he's got there. love the chick's smile, but i think she says "sportier" not "naughtier", hard to tell w/ the accent, still love a girl who can thrash a car!!

Gore44 08-14-2009 01:17 AM

Besides rewiring the car is there not more restrictive emission standards in EU? Maybe thats what takes so long for his "service". Also, watching a girl enjoy a V6 makes me wonder what my g/f will do when I let her drive my SS/M6 arriving on rail next week :P hahha

that is of course.... after I have had much driving time behind the wheel and laying some rubber down after it is broken in :D Wooooo! I cant wait to buy my first set of new back tires lolol

fad1 08-14-2009 02:01 AM

Revo1 08-14-2009 02:34 AM

@Hanzo: I think currently 25,000 British Pounds = 41,614 dollars
Wow, for a V6.

I live in the Netherlands a 1000 miles from Engeland and we have to pay 120,000 dollars just for the V6 !! And still I wanna buy the Camaro V8 Convertible that will cost about 140.000 dollars and that even with the strong Euro ...just beause of our outrages TAXES! :( So GM don't let me wait to long..please

skuttduck 08-14-2009 06:46 AM

I liked how you made sure to say "hood" instead of Bonnet.

You must be very very wealthy then..I would spend your money on a Ferrari or a Lamborghini... Why pay that much for a car when you could buy others? Strike that, you probably have a collection of those cars already :).. Have fun..

I'm an English chick and i cannot wait to get my hands on some American muscle :p and i will be grinning for a very long time, i'm sure.
I LOVE muscle cars.

I'm pretty sure she does mumble "sportier" - though it is hard to tell. Either way - she's right!

I think they have great post-production touch-ups lol!

.....and Top Gear is about the best show on TV right now.

Camarorss350 08-14-2009 11:26 AM

Don't you guys get sick of the stereotype that ALL American cars CANT handle and ALL American cars are only meant for straight lines?

God that aggravates the heck outta me...:mad0260:

Whatever, long live the king! :chevy:

Im pretty sure its just the lights/front & rear bumpers that are different standards. The smog regulations in the US are definitely tighter. Hence the reason why most foreign motors make a tad bid more power liter for liter. (I know that's a bold statement, but relatively speaking its the truth)

dgformula2k 08-14-2009 12:15 PM

The V6 sounded pretty good under throttle, I wonder what it sounded like from the inside? I'm a little surprised she didn't mention the blind spots, cheap interior, etc. that everyone else seems to gripe on.

Johnny Camaro 08-14-2009 01:13 PM

@Supermans: Hmm unfortunaly not rich! Just USA-carlover. A Ferrari will cost about $500.000 so compared to that the Camaro is still value for money overhere!
You can also buy the Corvette ZR1 for as little as $300.000. :(

Jericho 08-14-2009 04:43 PM

Did you get the 'big fat juicy 20inch tires'? *grin*

Jericho 08-14-2009 04:49 PM

The conversion today at 12:48am is $41,475.10 (dollars for 25,000 pounds)

JewelZ 08-14-2009 06:29 PM

Dude, that was a sick find!

"You will buy this car with your heart"

Lovely comment. I know that is what's driving me to purchase one

JoshBobGuptaMarley 12-27-2011 02:02 PM

I still love this video. It would be nice to see a review of a lightly modded v6...
