Roto-Fab or Lingenfelter Cai?

My buddy just gave me a Lingenfelter Cai for my TVS2300 for when I get my tune tomorrow but I have a Roto-Fab Magnuson Cai. Both are for a supercharged vehicle. I have heard nothing but good things about the Roto-Fab and was wondering if anybody was running a Lingenfelter on their supercharged Camaro. It does look nice but Im not going for look, im looking to see which of the two can give me better results or if they are the same thing. Thanks:bonk:

Bring both of them to the tuner and whatever it takes to change it, probly a screwdriver, and u tell us which makes more power

I know lingenfelter was using the Airaid parts for some time, at least for the ZL1 which I own. I don't know for sure what they are using now but I don't think it makes that much difference myself. It may make a couple of horses difference at the redline, one way or another but probably not a big deal.

dont think your going to see any difference on those two CAI on the blower. the Rotofab makes GREAT numbers!

You have a L99 correct?

JHall651 01-09-2014 11:13 PM

Oops never mind, I see you have LS3 from the pics in your garage. The reason I asked earlier is that is that I am confused as to why your RWHP numbers are so low with your mods. I would figure you would definitely be closer to mid 500's.

I have a L99

I thought my numbers would be higher as well with all my mods. Pat G said his dyno reads lower than most dynos. Really cant argue with him with the great reputation he gots. Definately felt a difference with his tranny tune as well. Thats why I posted to see if at least the graph look right or not

JHall651 01-10-2014 10:07 PM

Oh, ok you do have a L99. Well I guess that makes a little more sense. From your garage pics of the interior it looks like a manual trans. I always thought that even on L99 just the S/C would put you close to the numbers you are at. Did you get a baseline hp number on that same dyno before mods? If so, the numbers gained would be more important than the "actual hp" numbers being shown.

I had a previous tune from Lethal Performance and i was not very impressed with their supercharge tune on bit. The dyno was a shame to post on here and i had 444rwhp with their dyno. So i had to do a whole new tune with Pat G and during that time i added the 3.6 pulley and rotofab with the adm fpcm and zl1 fuel pump.
