Exhaust Plans

So.....what are your plans for your car's exhaust?

Within the first year I'll probably go with an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. Hoping to get a nice SLP (or other brand) center mounted quad exhaust like I had on my old '00 SS, similar to below

It'll prob be a couple years til I go with a full system, or might just wait all the way til the warranty is up (I don't feel the GMPP products will give as good of gains as aftermarket, and I don't want shorty headers). I had some LG Motorsport long tube headers on my '01 vette that I liked alot.

Anyone else thinking of going for some quad action?

I'd like to do the shorty headers ...

Then from there see what Xpipes / Catbacks are available .. so eventually do a high flow catted xpipe and aftermarket catback ..

Nice thing about my area is there are no emissions laws. So I always run with no cats on the aftermarket systems I get and just save my old stock pipes for when I sell the car.

:chevy:I'm hoping they will be awesome straight from the factory.

If you get automatic with AFM L99 - Remember it will be running on 4 cylinders at times, and the exhaust note is one reason there's no L99 or AFM on Corvettes.

Modify L99 exhaust with care. Search AFM or DOD exhaust sound on Google for more.

I am planning on upgrading about a year after getting the car. I'll have to see what is available then, but GM gets my first look since it doesn't void the warranty.

Good point. I've seen stuff about companies working on their systems to keep from getting alot of drone on those setups.

Exhuast Pricing??

Do we have any idea on the pricing yet on the shorty headers or any GM performance products that they lost for the Camaro, beside the Hurst Shifter?

Thanks!

Chances are that if the stock exhaust is what i think it is.. then it will stay stock. (from what i understand the stock will breath just fine for many more horses than stock)

i will look into the GMPP shortys but i will do an after market cat-back not right away but within a few months, i hate quiet V8s, did my trucks within a month of purchase, And then ill get headers.

You forgot leaving it alone.

I was thinking about having a catback waiting for mine upon delivery but I've decided to wait and see how the LS3 sounds with the stock system. If it's throaty enough I might just get headers for the performance gains and hold off on the catback. Also cant stand quiet v8's either, the muscle needs to be heard and felt

I think I'll be going with a chambered exhaust and possibly long tubes. We'll have to see.
