Never hurts to ask. Depends on the dealer and how badly they want to move the car. But that is a good price.

Well if their asking price is 39.9K then that is already below GM employee pricing because the car you are describing is a carbon copy of mine. You should first find out if that asking price includes all current GM incentives/Rebates. Because I believe there is still a $1000 GM rebate on the Camaros and I know other dealers in WI have been advertising a special extra rebate for the memorial day sales (which is good until 6/3 I believe).

I know when i went to gm family first you get a 1k incentive
And what about private cash
I know it includes 1k and maybe 500 and then some incentive.from them...

$39.9 is a good price on a 1LE that lists for $42k. Not a lot of wiggle room there but there's probably a little.
