Hurst Shifter Question

So I had the Hurst shifter installed today on my Camaro, WOW is there a significant difference in shifting. I love it, it is so quick, does Hurst make an orange shift knob, does anyone have an idea where to buy them. I have Black/Orange interior thought it would look better than the white knob now. I of course looked on the Hurst website and found nothing, but it seems odd they would not make one being most photos shoe an orange knob. Thanks

Nice V6, that doesn't look bad at all! Now the question, do I copy your cool idea or just switch to the black knob?

Hurst Shifter Question

I had a hurst shifter installed yesterday, and I love it, but I was curious opposed to the hurst knob can you, or has anyone replaced the ball with there original camaro shift knob? If so any pics?

SSOOCH 08-25-2010 09:59 AM

Yes. The Hurst comes with two different upper pieces. One uses the stock knob. But are you asking if there is a way to use the stock knob with the "chromed Hurst" arm? If that's your question the answer is no.

Here you go! I love it! Just screws right onto the standard Hurst shaft!

Do you have yours angled at all? It seems like it would be uncomfortable. How do you like it?

Just slightly angled to fit the angle of my arm and hand. It's very comfortable and easy to get used to! I like the T-handle because it prevents you from grabbing hold of a ball. It's better to shift with the palm of your hand away and fingers towards than grabbing a ball and forcing it, IMO! I really like the retro looks too!

they are a tad hard to get to because if the rubber boot. and yes, you have to get to them from the top.

Do you need to remove the rubber boot or can you get to from the shift rod hole.
