Transmissions for LS3

Hey all, I just had a quick question. Which transmission would work with a LS3? I am not knowledgeable with transmissions, hence why I am here. I am buying a 2001 Trans Am WS6 from a buddy of mine that is unfortunately going through a divorce. He wants to get rid of it so the wife cant have it. From what I know he has done a few things to the engine. Any help would be great, thanks guys!:thumb:

GM V8 bell housings are the same for what you want.

The T/As come with Tremec T56 6-speeds. The new Camaros with LS3s come with Tremec TR6060s. Both are compatible on any platform with the correct bellhousing. What exactly are asking?
