Whats another good oil catch can ?

i really wanted the rx catch can , but 3weeks to a month is quite a wait ?

Apex Motorsports 05-08-2013 04:47 PM

Elite Engineering. We do not have a wait and they are every bit as good.

SC2150 05-08-2013 04:54 PM

Elite is what I would get if you can't wait for ours.

If you are looking at a forced induction application then I would recommend waiting on a dual valve RX can.

X2 The Elite catch can can be hooked up to work on a turbo application, but the RX can would be optimal. I suggest waiting it out. It is a better option for turbo applications.

patiently waiting for my RX for about 3 weeks now.

Your close Ghost!

Yes on turbo or centri (front mount) blowers. The RX dual valve for up to 10-12# boost (Monster can above it) is the only system availble currently (aside from a belt driven vac pump that is the ultimate) that provides proper evacuation during both boost and non boost operation using two sources for evacuation and not venting into the engine compartment.

The primary valve uses the intake manifold vacuum at non boost and when the intake becomes pressurized, the primary valve detects this and automatically closes preventing any crankcase pressure from boost, then switches to the secondary source as that valve opens and uses the inlet side of the turbo (s) for evac suction during boost. Then the reverse when you fall out of boost.

i was told that the monster catch can has a faster production so i placed my order ! :)

grocerygetter 05-09-2013 12:50 PM

you made a good call...due to volume and the potential of turning the boost up (lol) the rx monster can or dual elite cans would have been what I think a few on here would have suggested.

drayco513 05-09-2013 02:33 PM

elite is best in 90% of ppl that know what to look for. le1 has a good factory one.

The 1LE set up is not the same thing. An Elite or RX catch can operates on the "dirty side" and the 1LE system is on the "clean side". Even with it in place you would still want to run a catch can.

Correct.

The Elite is great catching most of the oil (why we endorse it and a few others) but the RX is the most effective on the market period for trapping all or nearly all the oil, but we endorse the Elite as well. And as Chase pointed out, clean side is responsible for 2-3% of total ingestion which the 1LE does a great job of stopping. Dirty side is 97% plus.
