Could you PM the TSB number. Thanks.

zonepro77 05-24-2010 08:14 AM

I am having the same issue. If anyone has found out what the TSB number is and could let me know, that would be great. Thanks!

What are the odds we could get a credit towards an aftermarket exhaust? lol

any new news on the exhaust issues?? I haven't had a day to take her in to Chevy but my vibration is getting worse and worse- I can pound away at the exhaust and it's as solid as can be. arrrgggh.

noted areas, so far:
1st gear from an idle stop
2nd gear from a slow crawl
3rd gear on a declerated turn; 1,200 rpm range
4th gear at 31/32 mph; 1,200 rpm range
5th gear at 38 mph; 1,200 rpm range
6th gear at 55-58 mph, most prominent at 56 mph; 1,200 rpm range

You took the words right out of my mouth, word for word. Same rpm range too. Just had my SS into the dealer on Wednesday and they said they needed to replace the entire exhaust so I'd have to wait til it got shipped to them (takes a little longer due to oversize package). Just like PQ. Drives me ****ing bat crazy.

You can find TSBs on the NHTSA site for any vehicle. However, I didn't see one for this. Try this url:

it's ridiculous dude- I'm half ashamed to drive it around with this whiney-assed-clank...I've got to purposefully stay above that rpm band & speed to keep it sounding like a Camaro haha...

I am glad that someone is experiencing the same issue @ the same points... everyone's saying to hit the pipes with a rubber mallet to hear the vibration and there's nothing on either side for me...

let me know if the knew system takes care of it!

I wonder if they'd cut you a deal on the GMPP performance exhaust as opposed to putting stock mufflers back on?

that's what i'm wondering...the retail cost of the stock system (for the M6) is around $1,025... I could spend that quite nicely on a different setup.

in other related news, the rattle has attacked to my left side too. but only audible on 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. the range that the right side will rattle has expanded to a 3mph delta per gear.

My dealership just told me they are replacing whole exhaust, which will be here in one week....

I took mine to the dealer yesterday for the same issue. Rattling noise coming from the passenger side and rear of vehicle. I took the tech on a ride to duplicate the noise and he said it definitely sounds exhaust related. When we got back to the dealership he called an hour later to let me know he's ordering new mufflers. I bring the car back on the 28th for the repair. I hope like hell it this fixes the problem. Like many of you said the noise is driving me f@cking crazy! I'll keep you posted on the results.
