Supercharger or Turbocharger on your Camaro?

What would you guys put on your car a Supercharger or a Turbocharger and tell me why.:iono:

Red Hot SS 04-26-2009 06:21 PM

neither...426 is enough for me.

ZZcamaro 04-26-2009 06:23 PM

Heads and Cam because I like it!!!

There are advantages to both, it is really up to the owner!!

if i were going to boost it, Supercharger

Supercharger is the way to go on this fat pig.

I plan on adding a turbo after the warranty is over. Don't plan on racing it competitively at all, but something to increase gas mileage for everyday driving, and to have some fun on weekends.

I've owned a lot of turbo cars, and unless it's for a race car, I probably never will again.

Turbos = lots of heat, lots and lots and lots of heat. I've literally seen the turbos glowing orange on several occasions.

Hopefully 426 is enough, but dam 3800+ is a heavy beast...

Supercharging as soon as GM dealer will install Vortec S/C as to not void my warranty. Vortech S/C with full length headers and cat-back Corsa exhaust should pull 550rwhp.

If its a WELL made kit, I'd go with a turbo...most efficient package out there and they also produce IMMENSE torque once spooled. The latest turbos on the market have about eliminated lag, so its not a problem. A nice intercooler will greatly reduce the intake temps and a properly placed turbo and you won't have to worry about turbo heat. Second I like a S/C, but I'm still partial to centrifigal units for now.....I know Roots type are getting better by the minute! I'm a nrmally aspirated guy and have laid waste to plenty S/C cars with a heads/cam package on my 95 Z. All being said, for ease of build and hp return I'd now go with boost. Can't rule out NOS though!

Cam, LT Headers, CAI, and an exhaust to start

taking the ATI Procharger P1-SC from my LS1 Camaro SS and putting it on my 2010 after i drive the first 10k miles and ensure all recalls are done.

why? because its easy to bolt on, i already have the blower, and ill make over 550rwhp.
