ZL1 order this fall base price 43k
My buddy is a boss at a large dealership. He called me and told me that the owner has found out that zl1 can be ordered this fall with a base price of around 43k. The owner just came back from a trip to canada and released this info to the sales staff. I dont know if the vacation to canada is related to the info but my buddy has been waiting for the owner to get back to answer zl1 questions. Im on the top off there list to order one. I HOPE THIS IS TRUE ABOUT TO BASE PRICE!!!!!!

He also said they will arrive this feb. or mar.

The main competitor for the ZL1 is the Moose-tang GT 500, which goes for $48,810 base. ZL1 will outclass it in every category, but not at any 43k. Sorry, either you are making a joke, or you're too gullible, my friend. The general consensus is "around 50k" hopefully right in line with the competition. There is more tech in ZL1 than anything before, with much of the best stuff from the Caddy CTS V and even some from the Corvette ZR1. We get that for less than 50k & we're doing very well indeed. I'm saving up for one. With production beginning Jan 1 2012, the estimated beginning of delivery date sounds about right. . |
If that's the case maybe a ZL1 is in my future, but I am not holding my breath.
Very doubtful that price will be even close to reality. |
Well see scarrzz that is exactly why he said it would be low like that because of the gt500 base price. I dont care if its 48k base price im still buying I was just excited to here the news from the owner of a giant dealership

The owner told my buddy that I could come in and order this fall for 43 to 44k base

I'm sure you could order a ZL1 for 43-44k base, but the remainder would be due on delivery. Sorry, I calls 'em like I sees 'em. . |
Well that is about 10k over the base price of a 2ss so it seems like it could be possible however i just dont see it happening with all the research and development that has gone into this car.
If it does come in at that for a base price i can see gm selling these things like hot cakes. The dealerships will NOT be able to keep them on the lots! Maybe they (GM) are thinking that if they can sell a whole lot of product by keeping the price lower that in the long run they will make more money, but who knows!! I bet fbodfather does!! lol |
Not going to happen, add another 10k to that price,
and your much closer to the MSRP ESP if you adding an option or two. |
