Add HUD to your 2010, Now with the prices

I am starting this DIY now, It may be a long time till its done But will see if it can be done by me and any one that wants to help us all out.

So this is what i now have for the job I have the wiring Schematics and the cut always of the dash, i have the wiring harness and the switch coming in and there not much $ so far.

When i get to work i will post all the papers i have now.

OK prices are out for all the parts, I updated the front page with GM list prices you can get the parts for a lot less, but that is up to you as it looks now at list this is $650 but if you got to one of the discount GM Parts houses you are at 425+ or

Switch: Part # 92224604 GM LIST: $22.50
HUD: Part # 92205982 GM LIST: $572.92
HUD Trim: Part # 92227455 GM LIST: $10.18
5Pc bolt's to hold the HUD in place GM part # 11609465 GM LIST: $0.61

Last thing you need is 5 clips to hold the HUD in the dash Part # 11610157 GM LIST: $4.39 I did a 2012 car and the clips where there in the car.

That is all the parts you need to order If you want to Do this with my Harness.

If you want to make your own Harness you need to add this to your order and then connect the two and wire up the 4 wires that come out of it.

Harness to Switch: Part # 19115655 GM LIST: $166.82
Harness to HUD: Part # 92225478 GM LIST: $16.49

Or if you want a harness from me here is the link.

Tools you need:
Thin 4:-6" flat head screwdriver to remove steering wheel air bag and locks on all air bag connectors.

10 MM hand screwdriver to remove the 2 battery cables on the battery. (do not close the trunk)

7 MM hand screwdriver to remove and install all the screws on the side of the dash and the radio.

A 5"-8" long med Phillips Head Screwdrivers to remove and install all the screws on the side of the dash and under the dash and in the dash and the center consul.

1/4 drive you will need a long and short Extensions for the instrument panel and for under the passenger glove box.

You need some TORX A 15 in 1/4 drive and a 37 in 3/8 drive i think for you steering wheel.

You will need a 10MM Socket 3/8 drive to remove the plastic tray that holds the XM/Onstar and the battery back up under the passenger glove box.

Now you need a 13MM Socket 3/8 drive to remove the two bolts for the passenger air bag. (this connector has a small white lock so get it right or you have an air bag warning)

You will have a hard time with 2 things, One the two Phillips Head Screws on the back of the consul are in a bad spot you will see so if you have a 90% Phillips Head Screwdriver or flex use it, Next is the one Screw in the top front of the dash its a 7mm but with the windshield in place is fun:mad0260: :mad0260: so you need a 1/4 drive and a swivel to get it out, Now the fun part is getting it back in I say as soon as you get it out take the Screw and get some RTV and add it to the head of the Screw and put in in the Socket this way it dry and dos not fall out as you install it back.

Last part is the wire for the Light sensor This you need the string from the trunk:sm0: Remember the concept car.

Good luck.
