Who is still waiting for their engine cover?
 

I've been waiting for my engine cover since delivery of my black Camaro SS on June 17th. I know two people that ordered their cars after me, received their cars before me, and received their engine covers before me. :mad0259:

The dealer said they really can't track the engine cover because it was part of the original car order. I'm afraid that I paid for it and may never get it.

Has anyone else been waiting this long? Has anyone been able to check delivery of their backordered engine cover with their dealer?

I just got mine yesterday. I bought the car in the beginning of July off the showroom floor. It had been sitting there for one week. You should be getting your pretty soon...

I just ordered an IOM cover for my SS from Larry H. Miller Chevrolet in Salt Lake City. The parts Guy (Chris) said that several out of state dealers had them in stock and I should have mine within a week. I guess he can pull it from one of their bins. I always thought they were a custom order but I guess if some people ordered them and then didn't take delivery dealers would be sitting on them. But yeah, I'm not sure how you're going to track it if you ordered it with the car and it was on back order.

i am still waiting on my engine cover i recieved my car on june 6. i called my dealer last saturday and he told me that the only color that is available right now is red jewl, i am waiting on ralley yellow.

You picked yours up almost the same date as me. I recieved my cover about a month later in July. It is strange that others at the same dealership got theirs befor you did. I just hope they actually put the order in for it.

Sean- That's what I'm worried about, whether or not it is even on order. If the dealer has no way to check on it, how am I supposed to know whether or not it's actually on backorder or if it has never been ordered?

I seen the engine cover on an IOM and I know for certain that a guy received his black one, the same color that I am waiting for.
