Hahaha.

Lutz is on a roll lately...

FWD Super EpII Impala Hybrid, Regal GS, CTS-V Sportwagon...now this...

He loves to say things to rial up the media and his fellow GM people. Probably not gonna happen but hay more V6 Z28 fuel lol. I know I know most want a super charged V8 but just think ZL1 and it'll all be ok.

Bob Lutz on a twin turbo Camaro...

From Autoblog.com

Says "perhaps" to offering a version of the engine seen at SEMA in the Jay Leno car.

I know one thing for certain, I really like that front fascia on the car.

Why the hell did they let him play in a high school volleyball game? Don't they know how old he is?

EDIT: Damn, beaten.

Great minds think alike.

Oh yeah, I'd take one. Reminds me of the two '89 Turbo T/As I've had the pleasure of owning. Less weight and more room under the hood, but they were tempermental when something went wrong though...

I want it!

I will add this one to the garage as well if we can get it in a convertible model :D

Lutz says "perhaps" to twin-turbo Camaro

"Perhaps" is the word Bob Lutz used to answer the question of whether there will be a twin-turbo Camaro. Although not an emphatic yes, this provides some hope to Camaro enthusiasts who have been hoping for a factory forced induction Camaro. At the very least, this shows that GM has/is at least contemplating the idea.

Lutz also confirmed that the Camaro Synergy concept will be made into a production version, as well as an all-black special edition model (previously discussed here).

Apparently, if you put Bob Lutz in a room filled with journalists asking pointed questions about specific vehicles, you won't get the industry-standard "we don't comment on future product" line. Following Maximum Bob's recent revelations about the CTS-V Sport Wagon and Coupe, along with a hybrid Chevrolet Impala, Buick Regal GS and a Caprice SS, when InsideLine asked Lutz about a twin-turbo version of the Chevrolet Camaro he simply responded "perhaps."

In addition to confirming a production version of the limited edition Camaro Synergy shown at SEMA and murdered-out Camaro, Lutz hinted at the possibility of a production version of the boosted, 425-hp V6 Camaro GM created for Jay Leno for this month's SEMA show. While it's far from a confirmation – and we all know how these things go with Lutz – it could be an indication that Chevrolet may be looking to beat Ford to the punch by offering a turbo'd version of its pony car. The only question now is when we'll receive an email from GM's PR team issuing the prerequisite denials... or an announcement that Fritz Henderson will require Lutz to wear a ball-gag at all future media events.
