EXHAUST OPINION

I have an L99/A6. I currently have a CAI and GMPP off-road axle back. I want to get a deep muscle car sound but not too loud and obnoxious inside. What would sound better? 1) Leaving as is? or 2) Adding LT's and putting the stock muffler back on? or 3) Adding LT's and leaving the GMPP off-road on?

Or going with a cat-back system? Flowmaster?

Option two will sound the best for the A6. For what you are looking at anyway.

Here is video with LT's and stock exhaust.

I agree. Louder the better.

I had a CAI and GMPP off-road axle back and then added the Edelbrock X-pipe along with a tune to disable the AFM. It was a great sounding exhaust.

I would add the LT with high flow cats as a first step. Then guage the sound and go from there you may be happy and if not you could always sell you axle-back and move to another system. The stock cat back is heavy and the rear mufflers are ugly. If you do go with the stock catback you should ditch the factor muffler and add a set of polished magnaflow magpacks.
