Summit White Camaro confirmed for July production

Summit White is scheduled to start production in July 2009...a date which has not shifted since October 2008 announcements. Date recently confirmed by a dealer member of Camaro5 in a PM. Order system should open for Summit White around June 15 to allow for orders to be pulled for production post-July 13 when the plant reopens after shutdown for model changeover.

my bad it is July I just spoke to out fleet manager sorry for that but it is exciting

one would think all the colors would have come out at the same time. GM has made a really winner. But one would think they would have been a little more smart with their production moves and procedures. Maybe they didnt expect as much interest as they are getting, but it seems like a lot of this is just thrown together.

Id like to see an off white. I dislike the plain bright Artic white...

yeah straight white doesnt work for me, really doesnt look good on muscle cars, never has, unless it has a lot of accents. My vote would be for some metallic or pearl white.

White is what I've been waiting to order (summit white 2SS/RS with orange interior and stripes.) Who did you hear this from ?. I have 3 dealers who are to call me when white can actually be ordered and none have called me. Summit white is on all other G.M. cars now and believe me it is pure white.
