Added a red pinstripe to my stock Wheels

Decided to add a red pinstripe to my rims, I think it looks pretty good. Cost 8$ and was really easy to put on, very subtle as well.

Made a DIY, but theres not much to it http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222661

Love it. I actually spent some time looking for red and black rims, but couldn't find any that I liked in my price range. Figured I would do what you did, but I don't know anything about painting. Would you explain what products you used and how you did it?

Sure, its actually vinyl, and its really easy, I made a DIY thread here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222661 , im gonna go get the website I bought it from's name and add that to the DIY thread. It looks killer on black rims, especially with the scheme youve already got going, im just not a black rim guy for my cars. I still like them though

Looks good, OP!

I did (almost) the same thing, but used a $4 roll of 1/4 inch red pinstripe from AutoZone. Good way to change the way the wheels look!

And a few other colors are available as well...

Yours look great! I think 6.5mm is 1/4" actually, so ours are pretty similar, I just needed dark red cause of my CRT.

You're correct. And I need to look into the pre-curved vinyl. I had never heard of or thought of it before. I want to add red vinyl inside the wheel on the step behind the spokes. I think it would help the spokes "pop" more.

Cant tell on your rims, is the step you want to put vinyl on flat facing out? Like the part I put vinyl on on my rims? Then you want precurved.
Or do you want to put it inside the rim, like where the weights go? Then you would want normal straight vinyl.

It's facing out on the same part of the wheel as where the valve stem is. I could still use straight vinyl here and shape it since vinyl is somewhat stretchable, but it's a tight space and hard to work in.

Sorry, meant to add a close up pic of the wheel:

Yeah the curved stuff will help you out, will probably still be challenging but definitely do-able. I think it would look good

Yes, they're glossed black with CNC machined edges. I just now added a pic to my last post.
