Anyone with a 2010 1LT feel like they got a short stick (relatively anyway)? Seems most of the previously optional packages are now standard.... But... I don't think I would trade any of it because I hate the steering wheel on the '12. When your friend says "Oh look it's just like my chevy cruze," there's a problem. Though a USB connectivity package would be nice.

If you want to keep paying to change your clutch when it burns out from starting on a hill, be my guest. I don't find this to be "not the true way" to drive a manual car. It is an added benefit that I'm sure many people living in "hilly" areas will really appreciate. It doesn't intrude upon the driving experience like traction control or skip shift, it helps in an otherwise tricky and not favorable situation. Much like the automatic rev match on the 370Z, it's still a true manual, but the car automatically rev matches for you when down shifting. Do I enjoy rev matching myself? Absolutely. Would I mind if my car did it for me perfectly? Not at all! If you want to drive a "true" manual that you're in "TOTAL" control of, then go get a muscle car from the 60's or 70's. If you're referring to anything in this century, then stop complaining, cause you'll never have a car that you're 100% in control of any more, and I'm fine with that.

How about a new motor to compete with the Mopar. I figured 3 years and they would upgraded like the mopar guys did.

No need to have a new motor when you are #1.

Spyderseal 04-13-2012 04:29 PM

Ok I apologize if this is a stupid question...but what's the difference between UFU and UHQ, the Mylink and Mylink1? They sound exactly the same to me.

MyGen73RS 04-13-2012 04:34 PM

Black wheels "required" for 1LE say it is not so!!

Also how big are the cup holders in the new '13's? I need to bring my cat without getting hair on the seats.
Thanks.

Well if you keep it cooped up in that jar you won't have to worry about it....and don't let the prevention of cruelty to animals get a hold of that pic you have in your sig, you might get some unfriendly attention...just saying!

Black was deleted for '12 b/c they have the Centenial Edition. They didn't want anything to conflict w/ that color, so it's temporary.

We don't need a bigger motor to compete w/ the SRT b/c the SRT also handles like ass, and weighs a hell of a lot more.

No hard drive. The nav system is based upon SD card system.

The systems are connected, but independent of each other. In other words, if you use the mobile app to send a route to your car, or press the blue button it will disply on your color nav screen. This way you can get directions while in transit. No one else does that.

Those 2 big knobs sticking out on either side of the touchscreen look out of place and kinda ruin the look, IMHO. Flat 'buttons' flush with the panel would have looked better.

Check out the 2013 ZL1 Convertible pics if you're a little '5150'.

cmb74656 04-13-2012 05:54 PM

The frameless inside rear view mirror sounds interesting. I'd like to get rid of the OnStar buttons.

Selling my 1SS to get a 2013 and I hope the wheels are not:barf:looking.

One thing I noticed from the picture is that the power door locks are on the door now and not the head unit. There will most likely be a DIY thread to install this if its possible to get it to work.

Lumix 04-13-2012 06:42 PM

New wheels for 2013...

Were suppose to have some new choices for 2013. Anyone have pictures yet? I saw the RPO codes in the other thread but no pictures.

newb 04-13-2012 07:08 PM

Should be easy for 2012 then since they already added door switches. But what does the wiring look like behind the dash? That will most likely be the killer. If they had to rearrange to make room for it, you may need need hvac controls and other bits that will add up in the long run.

Also, where is the gps antenna? If it was integrated into the shark fin, nav may be an almost no go. A lot of possible wiring problems for the new unit.

dragonZ28 04-13-2012 07:33 PM

Going from belt-driven to electric power steering should free up a little HP as well.

69 Rebel 04-13-2012 07:36 PM

If they use the frameless mirror. where will the OnStar bottoms be placed?

I wonder what the new shifter knob looks like, hopefully on the ZL1 they put back the emblem on it.

I bet it will, my opinion. As long as there are no changes to body structure.

I wonder is the grills and lights will remain the same as the current model.

Well if anyone can get this to work fully it would be 2SSRS (Ofer) and from what I have heard he has already started looking into this Mod.

I love the touch screen. I want one. But I am dissappointed in the new blue. I was hoping for a pretty blue not just another dark blue.

Hellfighter 04-13-2012 09:43 PM

that blue is quite sexy.. getting my LE in that color...
