ZR1 Spark Plugs?

Anyone know if ZR1 spark plugs would be a good option for those of us running blowers? If not, why?

Compared to... what? Spark plugs haven't changed much in the last 100 years. There are probably 30 different plugs you could put in, and be fine with

You mean those awesome iridum spark plugs with 4 contact points ,and cost 40 bucks dont do anything for me? Dammit!

The only ones that increase power are the 8 tip plugs.

Yes they are a good Option for Higher HP Blower Apps and the only other plug I recommend besides the stock plugs.

Ted.

The NGK TR-6 has been a popular choice in the lsx community for years. Most use them on built NA motors and or moderate boost cars.

I used the TR-6 plugs in my 2001 LS1. They worked great.

:word: TR-6 all the way! I've been running them in my turbo'ed - meth injected - a/a intercooled 2001 Silverado for years. They work great and are priced reasonably. I run 10.5 psi of boost, if anyone cares.

Just gotta gap them a little tighter. :D

Sorry to all you TR-6 Fans, but There is NO Advantage to running a 2 dollar spark plug VS the Factory or ZR-1 Plugs.

You Can't Out Wit the GM Engineers that built this engine.

Driveability and fuel mileage degrades with TR-6 plugs I see it Regularly.

I have a Trash can full of TR-6 Plugs :D

OE AC delco gap is 40 on iridiums. I have a KB and I don't like checking/changing plugs.

We run stock gap all the way to 18 PSI boost.

Can't do that with a $2.00 plug
