WTF?!!! Front spoiler GFX COMES OFF DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE!

I was driving down the interstate and all of a sudden I hear something weird... Then I hear flapping then crunching... I pull up to a toll booth and the lady yells, "What happen to your car?!"

My damn front GFX spoiler had came off and went under my car! I did not hit anything AT ALL!

I am so freaking angry!!!

Angrybird 12 07-10-2013 12:06 AM

Sounds like the dealer didn't put it on right..... It happened a lot on the 2010's

RiCEADDiCTBOY 07-10-2013 12:10 AM

How are they not putting it on right?!! I don't want to be at fault for this! I did NOTHING wrong!

RiCEADDiCTBOY 07-10-2013 12:46 AM

The fact I kept complaining to them that it keeps lifting off from the body of the car and each time I get it back I'm not satisfied and this happens makes me want to punch people in the faces! They better fix this as this wasn't my fault!

The Stig 07-10-2013 12:47 AM

You won't be at fault. There is a known TSP for this issue.

RiCEADDiCTBOY 07-10-2013 12:49 AM

Can someone email me the TSP? Jojo.zzang@me.com

If there is a TSP why haven't they fixed it?????

RiCEADDiCTBOY 07-10-2013 12:53 AM

My car barely has 3,000 miles and already I'm regretting purchasing the GFX with the car!!! For how much the GFX Is..... It should not be giving me this much headache...

TSP's only get used when the customer brings their car in complaining of the issue that the TSP mentions. So bring your car in, and what's left of the splitter, explain what happened and they'll fix you right up.

RiCEADDiCTBOY 07-10-2013 01:27 AM

What about the damage from the splitter dragging underneath and the side?

Also, if this is a known problem.... Why isn't it fixed and how do I have price of mind that it won't happen again?

I'm sorry for all the questions... But, an approx 2grand option should not feel like its worth 200 dollars....

Is there a substitute option the dealership can do????

Yes the dealership would cover to repair it.

They can't fix it if you don't tell them that you're having the issue. See what I mean? The only way the dealership knows you're having this issue is if you brought the car in complaining of said issue.

The new gfx kits have a snap rail that you pop rivet to the fascia. No more sticky tape.

Damn that sucks, sorry for you man. I had seen another fellow camaro owner go through the same thing while I was driving along the freeway and saw that he was looking at something and then figured out that he lost his splitter. I was in the far inside lane to actually be able to pull out and help him, hopefully it will be taken care of soon for you. :D
